There's a great reddit board! Just google Reddit and orangetheory.

I have periodically gotten hydrostatic tests - my last one was @ 32% 5 weeks ago. I decided to get a DEXA scan after 5 weeks of working hard, massively increasing protein and trying to really get my hormone issues under control by way of a sports nutritionist. I figured I would use that as my benchmark moving forward (and…

I'm getting tested for fibroids next week. Do they make it hard to lose weight? I struggle to just maintain 180 lbs but yet work out orangetheory HARD 5-6 times a week and eating below or at BMR and not eating exercise calories back. With a history of PCOS it's always been a struggle, even when I raced an Ironman. So…

This muscle!

I love itttttt! I go 4-5 times a week. Dialing in my food recently is really making a difference in my body matching my efforts there. After a year of going, I've built up a lot of muscle. To me though, I also love it because it reinforces me as an athlete.
-
I am addicted!!! Love the efficiency, how it changes daily, and the trainers. You train like an athlete! I go 4-6 times per week on average.

Youre not alone and it's really cool that you are recognizing this and reaching out for support. I'm a therapist and work with people struggling with this issue. It takes work to understand triggers, food rules, and to learn to tolerate more uncomfortable feelings, and when stress levels are high? It definitely can feel…

I have a goal to do 20 orange theory classes in 30 days. 9 down 11 to go and 15 days to do it. Even this cold is not gonna blow it for me!
-
I'm obsessed with orange theory! I have JUST begun tightening up my diet so I haven't really lost weight that I know of. I mean even if you burn 5-600 cal an hour that can be destroyed in 3 minutes if left alone with a bag of Hershey's kisses. I'm going 5X a week and excited to report back in a couple months that my size…

Oops some got cut off. My biggest weaknesses are dinners and wine with friends...and sugar/carbs I haven't been super consistent. Time to find a rhythm! Would love to connect!

As a therapist and former bulimic and binge eater( still compulsive at times), I think there is a danger or at least it's contra indicated to be counting calories. It was a long time before I could even think about dieting and occasionally my black and white thinking will kick up if I've been "bad" which leads to eating…

I'm OBSESSED with my Keurig. Donut Shop coffee is the best as far as straight-up coffee goes. I can't get enough! I use Almond Milk and Splenda -- a hardly any calorie treat.
-
I'm totally with you! And getting buzzed quicker means paying less $$ to get the buzz, and less calories too. Win-Win!!
-
Also, as someone who took a long time to even be able to "diet" and "Track my food"...and as a therapist, I would recommend that you seek some professional assistance if you can. Often people who are eating disordered will just jump from maladaptive behavior to behavior. For me for a long time when it wasn't food, it was…

I highly recommend the book "Intuitive Eating". As a former bulimic/binge eater, it made a huge difference as part of my learning how to eat again.

I am 5'5" (and a half) and weigh 163/4 right now. My goal is 140 as I have a lot of muscle mass and probably will be a size 4-6 when I hit that number. It so depends on body type, bone structure, etc.

Cut out processed foods, including artificial sweetener. Protein, veggies, nuts, some fruit Lots of water. Eat 3 small meals and 2 snacks. EAT BREAKFAST Weight training and cardio. Just keep it simple and you'll succeed, but diet is the key.

You're the best!!! I can't wait to see your successes. Let's do this together!!!@ xo

Hey .Happy Birthday! It's my birthday on the 23rd too! Just wrote a blog about my weigh-in interfering with my plans tomorrow night...as well as my plans to indulge just a little bit on Thursday night for my actual party. Enjoy your day -- don't go nuts, but indulge a little. Then back on the horse! One day ain't gonna…

Best of luck to you! If you think about it, you have two years ahead of you regardless of if it includes losing weight or not...so might as well go for it! I know it probably seems like a huge challenge, but take it one day at a time, and suddenly the time will have passed :) You have tons of support here. Add me as a…

As everyone has said, for a Sprint, your mountain bike is going to be juuuust fine. Make sure you get a few open water swims in -- it can be very disorienting to do it the first couple times. If you are feeling "ok" with all three already, then by July, you're going to be great! The bike to run transition is often the most…

Non-stick skillet is fine! Just don't touch the handle when you pull it out of the oven

Great support, all! Thanks. This is why MFP is quickly becoming my new bf :)
-
Yeah, my feet may never be the same. Battling all sorts of nerve issues. But what's a Half? lol Actually, after the horror that was a 1700 swim today, a 75 min ride yesterday and a 35 min run/walk today, I know I have a looong way to go. Last year I kept a blog about my weight journey -- lost 25 pounds or so…

Really great article! Been a fan of Dr. Mercola for a long time, even if i haven't heeded his advice as much as I aspire to
-
I think that's a major part of it -- people just aren't USED to it. They put you in the "fat girl" box so when you become a "thin girl", it confuses them ;)
-
I barely moved for 6 months after my race in July 2010. Subsequently gained 10 pounds of solid fat, lol. I have recently dipped a toe in training again (for a 1/2 iron in July), but mentally it was the hardest to get back on the bike. My butt calluses were gone and it just requires a longer workout than the running or…
-
Ha, I'm the opposite. My lungs can go forever, but my legs get too tired lately since I started training again :) I think the best thing I can tell you, especially if you're new to longer distances is to do intervals. Do 5min run/1 walk or 2/1 or 7/1 or whatever feels comfortable. The break is much better on your body and…

I think you guys are right that I should probably get my BF tested as a measurement tool like, right away :)
-
Holy crap! You have lost a LOT of weight and look great. Great job!
