  • Blue absolutely... Feta is...ok. Blue cheese is my guilty pleasure.
  • Let us know how it works for ya
  • It's not mythical... anymore it's in Oklahoma.
  • Pure cocaine is so toxic they have to cut it. are they cutting sugar now? Must've missed that one.
  • I don't think most limit themselves to the sugar macro. Mainly because it doesn't differentiate processed sugar from natural sugar. Have one peach yogurt from the store and it's enough to put you over. It is good for helping you pay more attention to how much sugar is in your diet. The only thing I add any sugar to now is…
  • I didn't read all the answer to your question so if someone has covered what I'm about to say my apologies. I haven't taken an anti depressant for quite some time but last I knew most anti depressants have similar side effects. The catch is while you may experience side effect A. taking one you may experience side effect…
  • Not trying to change your mind or judge you. However what you ingest and the treatment of the animals we ingest depends on the source. There are a growing number of small farmers who not only don't subject their livestock to the same conditions as large outfits but also don't use pesticides or hormones and many of them…
  • Even water can be toxic in high enough doses. That said overtime with excessive ingestion and perhaps sometimes even not so excessive people can develop an intolerance to sugar which can escalate into other health problems.
  • Well they need to stop being so mean!
  • I don't want a gain in size. I mainly want to prevent muscle loss. I might want to increase muscle on my arms and core but I will worry about that later. My legs are fine once I trim that fat off so long as I don''t LOSE any muscle.
  • Week 2 day 1 Complete pushups 14, 14, 10, 10, 18 situps 14, 17, 12, 12, 18 squats 13, 15, 11,11, 34 plank 50 seconds (this is gonna kill me)
  • I hope you're not suggesting we stop getting X-rays also because last I checked the benefits are still outweighing the risks.
  • That looks very challenging. I saved it for later. Thanks for the link I'll have to browse through her other ones as well. she's close to the shape I'm aiming for. Maybe not quite as muscular...I'll see.
  • My dad and step mom have a microwave that you can cook by temperature in. You plug a thermometer into the inside of it and then stick it in the meat. Usually she cooks meat on the grill but she does make meatloaf in it and it turns out great. Not all microwaves are created equal. Another example... mine thaws meat fine…
  • So what you're saying is... back when I was distance running. My muscles weren't developing I was just losing some fat that was covering them up?
  • I'm way out of shape so I've been doing walk away the pounds twice a day everyday but Sunday (off day). Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I am adding to that pushups, situps and squats from the 100 pushups, 200situps, 200 squats porgram. Next week I'm going to replace one session of walk away the pounds with a session of…
  • Thank you for the link it was an interesting read. It didn't really get to the heart of what I'm trying to find out though. I'm still seeing a lot of "can't build muscle doing cardio". Running and biking are cardio...yes? You build leg muscle doing those this I know from experience. The implication from many is that…
  • If I'm speaking I say the whole word but I'm a lazy typer so people will just have to live with me not typing the whole word out.
  • Liquids are your friend. Your sick drink, drink water, drink juice, drink broth. Juice and broth have calories too. If you have trouble holding anything down try munching on some crackers they are great for settling the stomach even when you can't hold down water. The most important thing is to stay hydrated.
  • I suggest you plan your meals ahead perhaps make some things you can freeze to take with you on your work nights. I work nights too right now from a home office but soon I'm moving to a regular one so I have to make a plan for getting my cals in. as far as logging I don't think it matters that much whether you log from…
  • The way you word that makes it seem like people can't have fun sober.... I don't care who drinks what when as long as they have sense enough to stay out from behind the steering wheel. That said there's no reason to put people down for not indulging either.
  • Are you sayin I have to start drinking hard liquor again? I much prefer an occasional glass of wine...le sigh
  • I am more interested in my shape and size than my weight. The only reason I even know my weight is because I was getting bigger and err softer. I think I have the diet pert down in so far as I know I have to watch what I eat and how much and pretty much only drink water. That part came easier than I thought it would…
  • You know I don't get the weighing where a serving is say... 1/4 cup or 1 tbls. Come to think of it I have no idea what a Tbls of a given substance would weigh. Also wouldn't a Tbls of butter perhaps have a different weight than a Tbls of say vanilla? I don't have a food scale but I am planning to purchase one for weighing…
  • When you can't do walk off the pounds in loose shorts because the ride up on the insides.... its not a good thing....nuff said.
  • No way I'd do all that after an 11 mile run... who am I kidding no way I'd go on an 11 mile run. Running is just not an exercise I enjoy.
  • There was nothing wrong with the tone in her original post. She asked a question and then gave her thoughts on it. No reason for people to get snarky with her.
  • If you gain 1st in the tummy it's going to be the last to go. Also that area of the body will be the most stubborn in coming completely off. Keep to your plan and maybe add extra exercise that targets the abdominals.Crunches, reverse crunches, I hear rowing machines work well for this but I don't go to the gym so I don't…
  • I think you're over analyzing it. They're being a little thoughtless most likely not intentionally. I don't think many people realize when applying peer pressure that that's what they're doing. It's too bad too. I doubt they realized they were making things harder on you. Good for you sticking with it though and not caving.
