So I think it is just the flu or a middle ear infection... going to the doctor in the morning to find out.

I have absolutely no appetite, should I still eat or not? Is it bad/good to eat when sick?

If you are sick, you need to concentrate on getting better. If all you can eat is a bowl of chicken vegetable soup, then eat the bowl of chicken vegetable soup..

Where you mention the illness is respiratory related, stay well hydrated, follow your doctor's orders (of course) and just listen to your body's signals when your hungry and when your tired...

    MFP can wait.

My opinion is that you shouldn't force yourself to eat when you're not sick. Try to drink Smart Water (electrolyte water). But try to eat SOMETHING, if you can only eat a little bit, try to eat something that's very nutritious.

    Hope you feel better soon!!!

I never force myself to eat.
Difference is though that when I'm not sick I do get hungry!

Liquids are your friend. Your sick drink, drink water, drink juice, drink broth. Juice and broth have calories too. If you have trouble holding anything down try munching on some crackers they are great for settling the stomach even when you can't hold down water.

The most important thing is to stay hydrated.

If you're sick, best thing to do is just drink plenty of fluids, even juice would be okay due to calorie intake.

Don't over due it cause you may regret it later if you do have the flu.

I made that mistake at a restaurant once. I ate then spent a good half an hour in their rest room throwing up. Couldn't eat the main couse. Take a lesson from me. Don't eat if you don't feel like eating. But if you do, do it slowly and cautiously. Give yourself a fifteen to twenty minute window between bites. You'll know by then
