Well 1st I took the liberty of looking at your photos and I personally don't think it makes you look older but you don't have very many close ups so I could be wrong. At any rate its what you think that matters. The thing is short of surgery I don't think you can finish losing your gut without losing weight. Even if you…

LOL... I don't either. I usually have between 100 -200 calories left over its working so far. If it stops working I'll rethink it. Oh there is one thing. You may just not be logging it but drinking water really helps. If you are drinking it and just not tracking it ignore this.

I think your diet looks fine. Some people say if you don't get 1200 net calories your metabolism slows. Others say that's not true. You are getting your 1200 in and eating back most of your exercise calories. IMO just keep doing what you're doing unless you hit a plateau. For one thing some times your calories can be off…

Mine just watch me but let me get on the computer and my white one is suddenly in love with my keyboard. They are also both almost always within 5 feet of me ( the white one isn't when I'm sleeping). I feel like I have little furry body guards.

Awesome post! Thanks a lot for sharing that with us... and you look great!!!

My dad still lives there.

Really? I'm pretty sure there were several people who didn't insult you. I know I didn't but I'd sure be interested in what you imagined as an insult. No one has any way of knowing what you've read and what you haven't until you tell them. Most if not all of us were just trying to be helpful. I'm sorry you find concern for…

I thought that was how you came up with your drag name...lol. Although mine would be even more appropriate for this. Honest to God it would be Gimmee 69

You can either add them in with your meals or snack or do what I did and add a category for them. Though now I rarely drink anything but water.

I don't but that is such a great idea I think I will create one!

Your story is very touching. I really don't have any advice for you that hasn't already been given but I'd like you to know that we're here if you need us and we wish you the best. I noticed you found that story inspiring. Just think what an inspiration you will be when you do this!!

The first is not liking the way I look but I had already been slowly changing my eating habits just to be healthier before I decided to lose weight. I think I was hoping I would lose as a side effect at 1st.

Wow! You look great you SHOULD be stoked! Congrats!

This is a good topic and one that I don't see so much. I'm not there yet but it's interesting reading the view points of the people that are.

I would love to be a 10 but I totally get what you're saying. I haven't owned a scale for a long time (didn't need one I was thin). Well when I started at MFP I went out and bought one and I got a reality slap of my own. I weighed about 20 lbs more than I thought I weighed and it was VERY hard to take. Particularly since I…

You're welcome

This is the best guide I know of for how much you should be eating. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12

Well I was going to ask a couple of questions but it looks like the posters before me pretty much have it covered. Good luck I know how important it is to be happy with how you look.

If I were you I would message helloitsdan. He is great at helping people figure out exactly what their calorie intake should be. I'd follow his advice on calorie intake and for sure keep up with the strength exercises. From what I see on here everybody plateaus at some point. It sounds like that may be what is happening.…

You may still have some body fat but you have slimmed down quite a bit. I think its just slowing down because you are getting closer to where you need to be. Aside: You sure don't look like you have that high of a BMI. How do you measure it?

This was very well put.

This^^^ Having said that eggs are one my favorite go tos for a quick boost.

When you eat less calories than your body would use to stay at your present weight you are creating a calorie deficit. When you 1st set up MFP it creates one for you.

SO ummm telling you yes go ahead eat all the junk you want is supportive? Last I knew acquaintances tell you what you want to hear and friends tell you the whole story. I think some people may have been a little tough about it perhaps tougher than necessary but we're just trying to tell you not eating any fruits or…

I was happiest in the 135 - 140 range. Most of my adult life I was below that but that's when I think I looked the healthiest.

It's not a scam unless money changed hands! Calories in/calories out is about all I have the time and energy to keep up with. I eat when I'm hungry and make sure it fits in my calorie budget. Oh and I try to eat a variety even if I don't always succeed.

The body does care it just may not translate into fat. If you eat foods that are weak in nutrients.... correction only foods that are weak in nutrients. It's going to take a toll on your body in some way. I don't want to beat up on her either but I can't in good conscience tell anyone. Go ahead just eat junk it won't hurt…
-
I'm not sure if you're asking if you need to eat less or asking if you need to eat healthier foods. You have to eat at a slight calorie deficit to lose weight (ie eat slightly less than what your body would need to stay at your present weight). As far as the types of food rumor has it you can eat nothing but junk and lose…

I would also change the activity level because it would be very hard to determine something like that without an HRM. Walking slow pace perhaps but for how long? Pert of the time you are just standing. Much simpler to reflect it in your activity level.
