Hello all, thank you for replying with great advice. I have opened my diary since a couple of you suggested that. But you should know that I don't log in every bit of food I eat, so I'm usually at 1200 calories.

Break the pattern how? A gym trainer told me yesterday to try not eating any carbs after 6 pm just for a little while, so that's the only change in my diet that I'm starting. And I'm thinking of doing full body workouts instead of isolating muscles.
-
I am eating at a deficit, I don't eat back all my extra exercise calories. The quality of my diet is also good: proteins at every meal, snacks between meals (a fruit usually) and complex carbs with breakfast and lunch usually.
-
Around 40% Carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat
-
I have around 2 more pounds of fat to lose, but it's really stubborn fat around my hips so that's why I've already started weights to build muscle gradually instead of continuing on just cardio
-
Yes, I don't eat too much. I actually don't have a big appetite naturally but I've been trying to eat at my requirement so that I can build muscle mass.
-
Some people have been telling me I should eat a little bit over my caloric requirements so that I can actually gain muscle mass, it's so confusing.
-
I eat properly too. I never eat junk food or fried food. I have 3 meals and usually 2 snacks per day, which include complex carbs, enough fiber, and protein in a good amount. This is why I'm so confused, I'm eating healthy and I'm exercising, so I don't know why I haven't seen any sign of progress after 12 weeks.
-
But I'm flat everywhere else, I don't want it to shrink it's all I've got left
-
I mean weight-training: 3 times a week, lower body/upper body/abs
-
So you never felt that your butt was shrinking instead of growing even with cardio etc.?
-
I started with bodyweight then added weights slowly, I'm up to 10 kilograms (22 pounds) when I squat using the barbell and 5 kilograms (11 pounds) with a regular dumbbell
-
How many times per week do you recommend?
