Too much coffee and exercise could deplete your sodium. I believe it's called hyponatreamia

Watch out for mercury poisoning and anemia.

Wouldn't the med just return your metabolism to normal levels? Surely the goal isn't to give you an under active thyroid. I'd imagine that most people just carry on eating the way that they did before taking the medication, the meds return their thyroid to normal and they gain weight. You seem to be quite switched on about…

When men gain weight we lower testosterone. So yeah, being overweight as a man can cause low testosterone symptoms

I had this problem. I raised my sodium intake to 2300 and it improved slightly

Eat smaller meals

Scan the barcode then check the packaging that the food came in. If everything matches then you're good

Reducing overall body fat is the only way. As you rightly pointed out, you can't spot reduce

Some people never settle down and learn to accept a particular weight. Eating disorders are a tale of low self esteem
-
I only struggled with the last few lbs because I was happier and healthier. It was easier to see how important it was to skip the extra calories when I was overweight and sick, the closer I got to my goal, the harder it got because my reasons for losing weight were largely gone. No idea why you would be scared about eating…

It's under goals > calorie, carb, protein and fat goals.

The lack of weight loss is water retention. Your muscles hold water while they heal

The amount of weight you use should be set by the number of repetitions that you complete in each set. Too light and you risk doing cardio on the spot. 1-5 reps is more strength 6-12 reps is more hypertrophy 12-20 reps is more endurance 20+ is moving towards cardio Commonly people choose 8-12. Starting at 8 reps per set,…

I'm getting stressed just reading that. Yes it is possible to rewire neural pathways but it takes time because most of our core beliefs are rooted in childhood. This sounds a bit like self medication for general anxiety, perhaps the change in lifestyle has given you the tools to handle the stress more productively.…

Calories are a measure of heat energy. If you don't like measurements then stop studying science.

I'm going to say exactly what others have said... just to make sure you know that we're all thinking it lol. Talk to your doctor asap

Stop pushing yourself so hard. Pick one or two things in life that you REALLY want and focus on them. You sound like me when I was spreading myself too thinly
-
DON'T beat yourself up. You need to learn from mistakes, everyone does, but beating yourself up doesn't need to be a part of that process. A calm and rational look at what went wrong and how to improve the outcome next time is all that is needed. When we beat ourselves up we are effectively trying to condition our minds to…

You gain muscle during a bulk, strength too. You can gain strength by keeping reps low even in a cut, just much slower when cutting. Power lifters like to try to keep within a particular weight bracket so they try reduce hypertrophy while training strength by keeping reps low. Strength isn't muscle, muscle becomes strong.

Try nuts

Do you heel strike? You need decent trainers if you do.

The last place I put it on

The irony is, any "younger people" that are able to read this post are already trying to do something about their weight. You could try giving out free advice at McDonalds if that's really your thing.

I just want to say that losing a lot of weight doesn't ALWAYS affect people negatively. I lost 112lbs and only good things happened. People can lose weight by simply eating less food. Eating nutritious foods to support your health and wellbeing isn't a requirement for weight loss. When you eat fewer amounts of already low…

It required a very frank conversation about my new-found needs. If I want to be healthy and feel better then there is no compromise. I never tell my wife what to eat (or not to eat) because it's her life and she would only resent me for it; it's very important that she knows it works both ways though. Resentment is wasted…

Swimming or upper body work. I'm sure you could invent a circuit working arms, chest, back and abs. Maybe pushup, pullup, plank repeat

Always in the morning and the widest point. I don't bother with the actual waist measurement (midway between the bottom rib and hip bone) for that exact reason
-
My meds make me tired and hungry. I need to be conscious of that fact to get up and move more regardless of what my head is telling me to do. I drink a cup of tea with sugar in it if I get hungry between meals, it doesn't get rid of the hunger for long but it's often enough. The doctor suggested several smaller meals no…

Peppermint can help if you have gastrointestinal issues while dieting. Green tea can help if you get cold while dieting. Neither will actually shed lbs for you though

Your digestive tract can hold a fair amount of waste when you aren't fasting. If you log the fast then check your weekly average for calories then you'll see how much you lost in real terms
