Accurately Taking Measurements

Hi
Any tips on taking accurate body measurements?

I feel like there only has to be a small difference in placement of the tape before it’s a false gain or loss.

Short of drawing measurement points on with permanent marker (don’t think I haven’t considered it lol!) I’d value tips from the pros

    Personally, I've always gone with widest points for most things (arms, chest, hips, thighs, calves) and narrowest point for waist.

    Always in the morning and the widest point. I don't bother with the actual waist measurement (midway between the bottom rib and hip bone) for that exact reason

    Always found it difficult on my soft body, so I stopped, and just weigh myself. I have a general idea of my measurements from what jeans size I can wear comfortably.
