make a nice pesto, doesn't just have to be basil. ;-)

It took me 45lb until I started to loose inches.... ;-) (started with 285lb)

Hi there, Perth here! :-D

Look at your bum, sexy lady! (As a woman, I hope I may say that... ;-) )

As for the weight loss, my goal is to be where I want to be at the end of 2013. As for the bigger picture: I want to be nicely toned on my wedding next year (May) and then never look back to my bigger self. ;-) I too counted the end date out when I first started three years ago with 130kg/285lb, but that obviously didn't…

Adding to the post above: kale, spinach, bok choy, pak choy and most of all: milo! :-)

Everything cheese related... Oh how I wish!

My boyfriend is my biggest supporter, too. I couldn't imagine him not being part of this trip to health! I can only imagine how hard it must be for you to fight two wars. :ohwell: But I also believe in honesty, you should sit down with her and talk to her, ask her what she's afraid of. Maybe she opens up to you.

Not sure if what I wrote has already been mentioned: My iron levels are always around 90-100%, I'm vegetarian and therefore don't eat red meat which is high in iron. My recent blood test gave away perfect iron results. You can boost the iron with small things, eg: One cup of Milo a day (hot water and 50ml milk) has…

I make my shakes up to two hours beforehand and just shake them by hand well before drinking. Always works for me...

It's funny really. Most of my mfp friends complain about the same thing over and over again, but only two of them regularly post on my stuff... If you are unhappy, dlete them, end of story.

I have one cup of Milo (hot water and 100ml milk) a day to boost my iron intake (6gr per serve). I always eat a piece of fruit with it to boost my intake efficiency and it's my every day snack. Be careful about the mfp info on iron. Sometimes people put in the iron as grams instead of percentage.

I eat clean, as in no or nearly no convenience food, trying to make everything myself. Feel free to add me, my friends can also see my diaries (i'm vegetarian though, so you won't find meat or fish on my plans)! :-)

If you ant a warm lunch i recommend soups in all varieties. Add silken tofu or something else high in protein and it keeps you satisfied even longer. I usually have salads in various variations for lunch. If you insist on a warm lunch go for a warm roasts vegie salad (whichever egies suit you) that tou can easily prepare…

Hi, you could make your diary public to let us see, what you actually ate today. ;-)

I am in the middle of week 4 and i LOVE IT! It's so much fun and although I only get to do the C25K twice a week (i'm doing other stuff as well, and I need one day off) it works! Can't wait for the moment where I actually can jog 5K!

I did the same, having regulars on the grocery list. But that made my fridge overload with leftovers and so on. Now i meticulously plan my whole week including all veggies and fruit I need. I only buy exactly what I need. Made me save a lot of money and there's no place for extra cravings, cause there is no extra food...…

I usually have the protein powder with one piece of fruit, milk, almond milk and a bit of milo (for the extra iron) for breakfast. Yummy!

Didn't have a look into his book yet. I am vegetarian so most meals don't fit anyway. But I wanted to say you can always try and substitute! Cream e.g. with milk or low fat ricotta cheese, taking only half the amount of sugar, etc... :-)

I only count "real" exercise. I don't really sweat during cleaning, especially because I clean a bit every day and don't have those huge once-a-week-five-hours cleaning days, where I assume you really get a bit of cardio. :ohwell: I also would never count walks with dogs etc. like others do, but I think that's everybody's…

ovo-lacto myself. No meat, no fish, no gelatine, no animal-rennet. I'm healthy and happy with that. Btw my spouse is an absolute carnivore. ;-)

Depends on the restaurant, i'd say. I always trust the ones i go to. :-) And you can taste the differnce between a buttered and not buttered bread, i'd say. I have more problems with vegetarian dishes (i'm a veggie). Many are not really veggie (rennet, gelatine)...

You should absolutely move this to Success Stories. This is awesome and a great progress so far! :flowerforyou:

What about reviewing your diary? Maybe you have a deficit somewhere. Eg iron deficit makes me absolutely tired and blah! Since I have a closer look on that I'm back to good! Or maybe it's really just everything coming together. Head up, deep breath! You'll get through those days and afterwards you'll feel awesome…

Thanks for posting!

Why do I NOT have an ice cream machine? :noway:
-
It's similar for me. When I look in the mirror, I don't see a skinny person, but I never see myself as big as I truly am. When I see pictures of myself I'm actually always devastated by the big woman looking back at me. :noway: But that's exactly what I'm doing. Looking at pictures and seeing the problem motivates me to…

No, I think that's what friends are for! Although in the end it's their decision and I would never un-friend them because of that reason.

Just don't give up, you will reach the 5k goal in your own time! :flowerforyou:
