I actually do remember the pain of braces. I didn't just have the standard first week of pain, my adjustments always felt like I just got them on for the first time (I had teeth pulled in the beginning, so my orthodontist was trying to move a lot of stuff around in there). I remember eating pasta, oatmeal, and anything…

yeah.... I think I'm one of the lucky ones. I've stayed pretty well proportionate. I had a LOT of tummy to lose, and now people ask me how I got my tiny waist. Sorry, natural. Eep!

Age is a huge factor in this. Also, it depends on how much the skin is stretched in the first place. I've still got a ways to go, but here is what I've seen so far: the skin on my stomach, butt, and thighs has tightened as I've lost weight, that on my arms and bust has not. You mentioned stretch marks. The stretch marks on…

I've been known to go to a DMV in a small town if I have a reason to drive out of the city/suburbs area. My ex's family lives near one, and I used to go when I was visiting them. Now I don't have that luxury, and I'm really dreading the fact that I need to go next week....

Seriously. Burger King? lol. That's my usual splurge if I have a ton of calories left in a day. That or some kind of ice cream treat from somewhere.

Hey! That's me!!! That was a rather dramatic loss.... Anywho, great job everyone! Keep up the good work. This week looks really busy for me. I just need to make sure I eat as well as possible. I'll also be trying to walk a lot this week, as I'm "Training" for a 5K walk that I'm doing next weekend.
-
233.3. Possibly off my plateau!!! We'll see how the next week goes. :-)

Thank you, dear Rachel! And great job ladies! I hope to actually be able to weigh in on Thursday, that's when my normal carpool routine will be back in effect. This week I need to keep up with 30DS. I did 4 days, then took three days off, then did one day, took 2 days off! I did other exercise (namely long walks), but it's…

Well, I didn't get to weigh today because my parents are out of town. I know that sounds weird, but I carpool to work with my mom, and I stop in at her house to weigh (scales don't work accurately in my house because it doesn't have a foundation... double-wide trailer). Since she wasn't there, I didn't need to stop, and I…

My mom used to have this problem. She has an under-active thyroid. You might want to get that checked. If it's not that, then you aren't eating enough. You need calories to get you through the day, so be sure not to under-eat!!

I used to drink a bunch of soda (Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper or regular Dr Pepper if I couldn't find that). In fact, it was the only thing I drank. When I started on this, I forced myself to cut back to 2 a day, for the caffeine mostly. (I gave up caffeine for a while in college and slept through my senior year...)…

I have a friend that sometimes has to do "overnights" at work, and she's tried the 5 hour energy with success. That said, she rarely uses them and doesn't like the taste, although she has suggested them to another friend that can't have caffeine. I do consume a lot of caffeine in a day, however when my body is exhausted I…

Seriously! After my first day, I described to my friends as, "I paid $9 to have Jillian Michaels try to murder me with jumping jacks for 20 minutes a day."
-
I've done it for 3 days now; started on Saturday. I thought about skipping last night because my calves hurt so bad, but I stuck with it. They still hurt today, but less than yesterday. I think you can do it every other day and such and still get results, but not the same results as if you do it every day for 30 days. Her…

I'm sick of gaining for no stupid reason! I was so good this weekend, too. Anyway, I'm planning on continuing 30DS (did my 3rd day last night), so hopefully that will kick in soon. I feel better today than I did yesterday, so that means something. I think my body is changing for the better, but my weight is staying in the…

I just started 30DS this past weekend. It feels like murder so far, but I'm pushing through it. Good luck with this vid!

Too cute! And I love your face in the last picture. To me it says, "Boyfriend? Weren't you just born?" And you will still be thinking that in 15 or so years.
-
I had a similar experience yesterday with my lunch at a local chain. I just did my best to estimate what I ate, and left a little room for error in the rest of my calories for the day.
-
Seriously, my scale hasn't moved much in the last few weeks, and when it has it hasn't been the right direction. I know that my body has changed though, so I'm trying to use that to encourage myself.
-
Have you taken measurements? I frequently find that when the scale isn't moving, my body is still changing. Sometimes your muscle gain covers your fat loss on the scale.
-
Similar to the losing muscle mass concept, but kind of opposite: When you are exercising you are *building* muscle, which, by volume, weighs more than fat. Therefore, when you exercise you are losing fat and gaining muscle, which makes you lose less weight. You are, however, still losing fat. I'll admit that when I started…

I tried starting, but after the walk I found that I couldn't even do the jumping jacks. I will definitely start tomorrow.
-
This, and then gradually lower the amount you're eating for breakfast and move those calories to other meals and snacks.
-
I *might* be. I have plans to walk 3 miles with my mom, though. I'm not sure I'm up for both. I watched Level 1 last night when I discovered I could "watch it now" after ordering the DVD on Amazon. It's short, but pretty hardcore. We'll see what happens....

I have the soundtrack to the Hannah Montana movie. I got it for my niece when I took her on her first plane ride, and I don't know why I haven't deleted it.
-
Me too! This weekend was especially killer because it was my nephew's 8th birthday. He decorated his own cake (chocolate cake, chocolate frosting) with Reese's Pieces and Hershey Kisses. Even a small piece was enough sugar to put a diabetic into shock.
-
Thanks, Rach! This week and next I need to get back into the habit of actually following my exercise plan! I already missed a day this week because I wasn't feeling well. CANNOT happen again!
-
As said above, there is no evidence that you can take too much.
-
I also take B12 and D3, but I've only been doing so for about a week. I feel better overall, I think, but it's been stressful at work. I do know that my brother has felt EXCELLENT since he began taking B12. The thing about B12 is that there is no medical evidence that you can ever have too much, or that there a negative…

You can do it, Tobi!
