Does anyone know if B12 vitamins aid in reducing tiredness and increasing energy?

Yes! Mine was low and so was my husband's we both feel better. It is also supposed to help with preventing Alzheimers. I also take vitamin D. It is really important due to my Central Mn location. We get less sun year round and because it is important to wear sunscreen people no longer get Vit D from the sun. You can actually end up in the hospital from low D levels. Ask your dr how much to take as it can be toxic in high levels.0

B Vitamin will increase your energy. Take it in the morning and also a multi-vitamin.
But take B50 Complex not just B12.0 -
I think there is quite a bit of research saying that it will give you more energy and even may boost your metabolism. I've been taking a B Complex vitamin, but I haven't taken it very long and I take it in the morning so I couldn't really tell you if I get the jumpstart from it or my two cups of coffee!0

I don't know if it boosts your metabolism, but it DEFINITELY does help with energy levels. Make sure you take it in the morning!! I remember once I forgot during the day and took it right before bed, and then laid awake for hours as if I had just had a cup of coffee.0

I also take B12 and D3, but I've only been doing so for about a week. I feel better overall, I think, but it's been stressful at work. I do know that my brother has felt EXCELLENT since he began taking B12.
The thing about B12 is that there is no medical evidence that you can ever have too much, or that there a negative side effects (I read this in a medical textbook).0 -
They are supposed to. My last lab results showed that I am B12 deficient. My doc asked if I had been tired lately. Well, heck yeah! But just chalked it off to my lifestyle. Apparently, my body doesn't absorb B12. He started me on supplements to see if it made a difference. Am going in for more lab this week. More than likely, I will start B12 injections. Of all things....:noway:0

You are correct...my doc says you cannot take too much B12.0 -
Yes, absolutely! I have been taking B-100 and B-6 for at least 6 months and it really helps!:flowerforyou:0

I've been debating taking B12 too. Does anyone know if you can take it with a multivitamin or will that be too much B12??0

I take a B complex along with a multivitamin (and a vitamin D supplement). B vitamins are water-soluble so your body will just flush out the excess. You'd have to take a whole bunch at once to have negative effects.
(Vitamin C is water-soluble too - so if you're taking a mega-dose once a day, it's probably not doing that much good! Better to take smaller doses throughout the day).0 -

As said above, there is no evidence that you can take too much.0
