If it was easy, everyone would do it. I go for a ~1 hour bike ride a few days a week after work, and a long ride on weekends. Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day. I cut out all carbs from my diet. I aim for <30 net carbs/day, and those come mainly from vegetables. Check my diary.

I don't cheat. I eat what I want as long as it fits my macros. LCHF. If I eat high carb foods, it makes me crave them. (Been there, done that, got the XXL t-shirt to prove it.) So I stick to low carb high fat. I'm under my calorie goal for most days, so If I go a little over once a week or so, I'm still in good shape.

First of all, this *is* healthy. I eat lots of vegetables. My bloodwork is excellent. I see no reason to go back to a high carb lifestyle. When I reach my target weight, I'll keep eating the same, just more. As a long distance cyclist, I don't want to give up the advantage of a ketoadapted metabolism.
