So what's wrong with naming your tool?

Wow, that went over way toooo serious. It was meant to be more light hearted. I belong to a group where we weigh-in once a week. I was looking for an alternate name rather than say "Facing the Scale". I guess I could always saw "Facing George" or "Facing the Metal Monster".

I AM pretty happy with what I've done so far this month. So a missed goal doesn't mean failure, it just means you needed a little more time. I just read about "Outcome" vs "Process" goals which are totally different. Gotta start small and work your way up.

So it sounds like the number should be specific but not the time period. For August, I challenged myself to lose 6 1/2# which was based on a 4# gain I had from vacation the previous month and with the other 2 1/2# off meant I was at my lowest weight this year. I'm 1/2# away from that goal with one weigh in left and I guess…

Maybe I'm relying too much on support rather than doing it myself.

Guess you just need to fight it as hard as you can and still expect a glich here and there. I do believe it's getting a little easier. At least by recording what I eat, it's opening my eyes.

I really appreciate all the comments and tips. I've just got to find a middle ground. Not to be too restrictive and allow myself to have what I want but at the same time being in control. I guess what they say about moderation being key has some truth to it. Emotions play a big part and I asked myself what three emotions…

Would it help if I told you that today when I was going up the escalator at the mall some teenage boys hit the emergency stop and I could barely walk up the steps to the next floor. It was a wake up call because I am so out of shape. And here YOU did a JM workout. It's going take small steps for me to get back in shape but…

This go round, it was after returning from a vacation and gaining another 4#. Two years ago my daughter started blogging and lost 50#, I followed her lead and lost 30#. She quit blogging but maintained her loss for a year. I did the same but gained most of my loss back. In August of 2012 she decided it was time to get…

Sorry team one ... guess I'm not just a good team player. Vacation last week and sick this week. Minimal exercise to log, just a little walking, but at least I'm losing weight. Anxious to see if I can do better on next week's tasks. ~Sheilah
