Totallydid that. We (my brothers and I) did lava, and if you fell you had to stay there. But sometimes quicksand so that you could be saved... that just led to us pushing each other in until I was the only 1 left on the couch, and refused to help them out of the "quicksand"... ahhh, childhood memories of being the oldest…

This question is asked pretty frequently. MFP sets you up with a "relatively low" percentage of protein intake. Do not worry at ALL if you are using MFP's defaults and going over. Most people will tell you not to worry about sugar from fruits. If you want a history on that topic use the "search" button. My personal take is…

I'd mainly do some core/body-weight stuff like push-ups, crunches, pull-ups, etc. It's going to be a long (great) day, and you don't want to be sore from going too heavy but those will get you feeling good (and usually help self-image). Plus you know... wedding night and all.

Do you mean 1/2lb of deli turkey breast? That sodium is really high... I usually get "no salt added" - most grocery stores have that, if not "reduced sodium" is at least a little better. Normal turkey breast (ie: fresh) shouldn't be too high sodium though. Same with the usual "meats" (chicken, beef, pork) if you get them…

Congratulations on your weight loss - but you are the exception not the rule. **EDIT - Just noticed you said "exercise and eat healthy and count calories" - that works, period. No need for a cleanse if you are doing those 3 correctly. OP - the tried and true pattern of eating healthy and getting good exercise works. Please…

bump - I'm curious about this too (though I am definitely more of a heel striker)

TheCryingGame **EDIT - the dork in me says also "ChromeXX_and_Y"

AlwaysTOM **EDIT - add "ItsJustaColdSore"

^ Completely agree. Realize that you are doing the right things, and keep it up. If/when you want to GAIN that muscle mass, you can adjust to a caloric surplus

You're missing the bigger picture here. How big is the glass/bottle?

Not odd at all - I'm not a huge hot beverage fan either...

Seriously - just drink it black people... if its half-way decent (read: not pre-packaged crap), it will taste delicious. PS: I know it's not a popular option for real coffee drinkers, but I drink my ICED coffee black too...

<--- got it 2 weeks ago. Combo of one my brother had before he passed away, and our soccer team (Chelsea FC). The writing is our family motto "Certavi et vici" (I have fought and conquered).

thanks for the link, and answering the question... and I hope you are right, but OP - can you please clarify what you meant by not eating back caloric deficit created by exercise? **EDIT - nevermind, OP answered it 2 posts above. Thanks. I was worried people may read it and do DOUBLE deficit... thanks for clarifying and…

I agree with most of what you are saying (and thanks for the thread) - but doesn't this assume the person is on maintenance calories? Some people (and this is the way MFP is set up if you have it set to any "weight loss" goal) have a deficit built into their daily recommended intake...

Only when I'm at the beach, but leaving the patio screen door open, and hearing the waves crash... 100% At home - of course its relations. DUH

Fair enough - in my experience, they are nasty - but if you Indianans (?) do it right, I'm game.

I completely forgot about brikset... glad I had cow before because that absolutely pushes it WAY in cow's favor.

Agreed. No question bacon is the #1, but to me the various cuts of steak all neutralize the bacon + pork chop combo. Ham? A great alternative, but just can't beat out ground beef in my opinion (we won't even talk about the nastitness that is ground pork. So its cow, by a nose... or a hoof? I think veal is a different…

I actually "make my own" - lime juice + triple sec + whatever tequila I have on hand. But I have tried the bottled stuff - it is good. Not as good as fresh made (squeezed limes), but much more convenient.

MFP said 91, 98 is still very small but if your doctor has said it is a healthy weight - then good. The detox is NOT a good thing to do. Please do a search in the forums here, or read just about any clinical study and you will find that. I am not mocking you, but do you want support OR advice? Nobody here will support a…

^Agreed. You're aspiring to be 91lbs?! Please see a doctor ASAP... not about the colon detox, about your health in general. Especially after looking at your diary, you seem to be starving yourself. Please get help

Don't know if you are asking about forum search or BMR calc, but I'll give you both. To do a forum search, go to the "Community" tab and under the word message boards, you will see "Search". I would try "FT7 resting calories" and you should get some results There are various calculations to get BMR, but a simple one is:…

Most HRM do not take into account your calories burned at rest... they just account for the calories burned for a given duration at a given HR. In these cases, you would be "double counting" the calories burned from just living. I know for my polar A5, I have to back out ~90-100 calories (BMR) per hour. I'm not 100% sure…
-
That seems extremely likely/possible (calorie burn, exertion)... though 192 is high, it seems reasonable. So maybe the HRM is right. As mella said above, I may be accounting too much for being further along in the journey, and apologize if I seemed misleading. Go with the HRM, but make sure to back out your BMR cals. Best…
-
I wasn't trying to discourage you in anyway, sorry if it came off that way... it just seems like those numbers are off. your THEORETICAL (yeah, it required italics) max HR is 220 - your age... so getting to 197 would be over that... especially if you are doing it for extended period of time (average 182). I'm not saying it…

I can't believe nobody ever replies to these posts... anyway, great work! I (as you noticed/commented) started doing your "week-in-review" style and it really, REALLY helped me not micro-manage my nutrition. Before if I had a bad day, I thought all was lost... I always thought of this as a long-term (read: lifetime)…
-
That is EXTREMELY high HR... how hard were you struggling? Have you done this before and gotten those readings? If you weren't gasping for air nearly the whole time, I think something may be off... **EDIT - you just said you "walked" so I don't see how those numbers are possible. I would go by MFP in this case. Also, make…
-
His question about HR above will give a good indication... (what's your resting HR as well?). I would trust the HRM but not to a fault. Also realize that you need to subtract out your BMR calories from that... so if it was 1 hour of exercise, that is likely ~100 calories less you should be counting. **EDIT for clarity

My brother and I were scuba diving and he was in charge of navigation (I was in charge of exploration, avoiding barracuda/sharks, etc.). Well he got a "mild" case of vertigo and as its underwater and he cant tell me, I had no idea. We continued on, until it was time to head back. Well we were lost... in the atlantic ocean.…
