Don't over do the speed or resistance the first time. Just work with as much effort as you want! Normally after a few classes you will do much better. Have fun!

I spin 3 x a week and have for 6 years....it is the best cardio I know of! We have a great instructor and always feel pumped when the class is over.

I had a labral tear 3 years ago, very painful and to raise my hand initially I had to "spider crawl" my fingers up the side of the wall. Rest, heat, ice, etc PRN it took about 6-8 weeks to get back to semi normal then normal. Not too many issues since then, stretching and no lateral weightlifting has also helped

As long as you don't feel straining or tightening I think it is ok

I think what you are doing is helping some...spin shouldn't hurt unless there is too much tension and squats with light weight are in the same category...consider it a type of short term rehab. I actually tore both of mine in a race years ago and that took a month to heal.

I am in my mid 60s and since Early April I have lost more than 25 lbs. my goal is 35 lost and I expect to take about 6 more weeks..which would equal @23 weeks. You can do it!

Stretch, stretch and more stretching before and more importantly after your workout . Less fatigue will result.

I do spin 3 x a week and have been doing it for 5-6 years with an awesome instructor and great music. I spin as hard as I can on the sprints as well as any movements out of the seat.
