I drove by the gym this weekend (I'm a member at the Fitness Connection at Six Forks Celebration) and I was going to cancel my membership due to working out at home all the time now that I'm in the middle of P90X, but I couldn't bring myself to do it since I knew I'd want to start going back again once I finished (sometime…

I don't know about the one on Western Blvd, but i went to the one on Glenwood for a few years and that place was fantastic. I moved recently to North Raleigh and ended up switching to Fitness Connection (because they're closer and also have a pool for the same price), but Planet Fitness was always a great gym. I would…

I don't believe that you do need to upgrade your account to sync your fitbit. At least, I didn;t. I think that a Fitbit might be good for someone who doesn't track many things, because since it counts for you, it can be any easy motivator. You might not want to go to the gym or know how much exercise you've gotten during…

But that's basically all meat, right?
-
Oh my god. I feel like I've seen some impressive characters made out of sushi, but robot masters made of meat is pretty much the best thing ever. Pardon me while I go to gym to work out to Mega Man 2 theme songs in my head.

And tease the rest of us. I'm not going to be able to stop thinking about that picture all day.

Interesting. Thanks!

I go to the Planet Fitness on Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh.

You might try getting yourself a Garmin or something to track your speed and distance. I don't know if they can track incline, but I bet there's something out there that can. Personally, I love walking and running outside more for the fresh air and being in nature, but sometimes it's cold and the treadmill is really the…

This was amazing. Thanks! I've been working in an office for years and always assumed that correct diet and working out and exercising outside of work were fine and helped to counteract that. Then I read this the other day and got freaked out:…

Thanks for the info! Is there a website or something for this event?

Thanks, Nortx. I'm looking forward to going home and showing some of your recipes to my wife. They look delicious!

In Raleigh, right near the airport is the William Umstead State Park which is pretty massive and gorgeous. If the weather is right, you can't go wrong spending some time there. There's also a beautiful Rose Garden and Arboretum near the NC State Campus. On the way there is a beautiful Art Museum with trails that crisscross…

What sorts of things are you into? If you're going to be in Raleigh for any length of time, there's a ton to do downtown. Unfortunately I haven't been to Havelock, so I'm not sure what's there, but it looks like there's a nearby aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Also, there's a Marine Corp Air Station in Havelock, so surely…

I met my wife online, and several of my friends have found their significant others from the same site. I've also dated plenty of people online before I met my wife. That being said, you'd think I would have more stories. Unfortunately, the only one I've got is the time i was messaged by a girl who seemed to self-identify…

My wife just got a new job about 5 minutes away from home (as opposed to her last one which was an hour each way), so she's going to be cooking a lot more delicious and healthy crock pot meals for us. Last week we tried Skinny Taste's sweet barbacoa pork found here:…

Seems to me that if open relationships lead to more sex, more sex means more exercise which means getting in better shape. I guess the real question is, why aren't more of us on MFP in open relationships?

I'm glad that he's keeping in shape, but that in no way changes my oponion of him as a politician or my thoughts on his political and economic views. I agree, though, that it would be awesome if it inspired more people to get in shape.

My mother lost over a hundred pounds several years ago and had this problem. I know you said 'no surgery', but unfortunately that was her solution. I'm not really sure if there is another way to deal with this issue, but I hope there is and I wish you luck. Also, congratulations on all your hard work!

Let me begin. I live in Raleigh near Crabtree. I'm 31. I work in the clincial trials industry doing some boring paperwork. I was introduced to the site by my wife after she heard me complain about how I'd been eating terribly recently and was starting to be dissapointed in my weight. I've had some success with and enjoyed…
