I know how you are feeling. Today is my second day "back" after a LONG summer break! I worked so hard last spring only to have some sicknesses and set backs in the summer . . . and here it is the holidays and I am ready to "hopefully" begin again. I know that every day is a chance to start again. We can do this! Happy…

The first step is often the hardest! Great attitude . . . as the mama of an 18 year old daughter who has taken control of her food and exercise and has been an inspiration to me, let me tell you that you can do this!!

bumping for all the useful information.

I have never used a gym. I bike, walk (with and without hand weights) and dvds. I try to alternate what and when I do things. I enjoy not wasting the time driving to work-out, plus the cost savings. To me it is a win-win! Good Luck!

My "baby" is 10, I have been over weight her entire life. My kids are my cheerleaders now!

Almost 45 - 12 pounds from first goal! Would like to hit it by my birthday (3 mos from now); 1 pound per week and I should be there! BTW - ya'll look GREAT! Many of you look 10+ years younger than your age!

Don't beat yourself up. It has taken me a long time to learn this: if you are alive then it is never too late to start again. It won't be any easier than it is today. Go take a walk with the kids (or bike ride), go to the store and get some chicken, veggies and salad fixings, drink some water. Do the same thing again…

You are doing GREAT!!! You should be so proud of yourself!! And, what a difference from the first photo!

Hello, I am a 44 year old mom of 4. I am 5ft 4 in. and started last summer at 200 lbs. My oldest daughter started seriously exercising last summer and was my encouragement. Also, my dad, who I had always thought of as the strongest man I knew, had a stroke spring 2012. I see how he is struggling to do what use to come so…

I agree with BeachGinger! Chris is an insane liar who lied to you about Simon cheating. He did this so he could have you to himself, and now he wants to trap you forever. Run back to Simon, but do it slowly. Stop for 3 guys on the way. I wish you nothing but success on your journey.

11 miles this past week - did not get in all I had wanted due to some unexpected things. I will hit my goal!

I prefer to be at home. I don't want to drive there to a gym and drive back or worry about what I look like:-) I jog, bike, lift and do dvds.

I understand all too well. I found MFP about 6 mos ago and have using it consistantly to track my calories (good and bad days) and exercise. It is encouraging to see that I have gradually increased my exercise over time, and can even say that I often times look forward to exercise :-) I don't know about ya'll, but I want a…

I turned 44 last Sept. I had my blood and such done last year and the dr. informed me of the same thing (though I could have told you that myself :-). I figure the best thing I can do for myself is lose weight so that is what I am trying to do. Friend me if you would like, I understand what you are feeling.

Sorry, left out 1 tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar . . . typing fasting than I am thinking :-0

I have noticed a difference since taking a tsp in a glass of water before bedtime. This has not been an overnight miracle, but I have noticed over the past several months it getting better.

I understand your feelings; I am turning 45 in the fall and decided right before I turned 44 that I would (Lord willing) turn 45 healthier than I turned 44 :-) You need to decided that exercise will be a way of life . . . that has been a biggie for me. And, that one, two or even a week of falling off the healthy eating…

Feel free to add me. I am 44, 5 ft 4 in. and 182 pounds. I would like to lose 20 - 35 more pounds depending on how things go (or look :-). I understand the health problems. I have had high b/p for 18 years, had my thyroid removed 3.5 years ago due to thyroid cancer, and have a strong family history of heart disease . . . I…
