I work for orthopedics. Stress fractures of the metatarsals are common in runners. Hopefully, that is not what you have.

@LoveLiveLife.....I use to lift weights, not so much now because of a torn rotator cuff and bum knee. I've needed to have my shoulder surgically repaired for over 5 years but keep putting it off. I have been sticking to running! Thanks for the input anyway!
