  • Hi all, I'm 45 and currently doing HIIT (with modifications to protect my knees!) five times a week. I want to incorporate walking and swimming from next week (when the swimming pools open) into my daily schedule and am still in the process of adjusting my calorie/macros for steady weight loss. IF seems to be working for…
  • Hello! Like many others on here, I'm also coming back to MFP to track progress. I'm currently on Noom but finishing with it in about a month. I have the Joe Wicks app and so doing HIIT (with modifications to protect my knees!) five times a week. I want to incorporate walking and swimming from next week (when the swimming…

  • Hello just did my first fast day! I am also looking for friends. My diary is open
  • Scotch eggs sounds divine-maybe this weekend
  • Thank you @knitormiss I think what I was looking for is actual main meals to look forward to during the day or even in the morning with enough fat to encourage digestion. I think what I have to do is scour those websites and use pinterest to organise them. Thanks for all the suggestions.
  • Thanks for the link @Dragonwolf http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10044905/share-your-original-recipes This is useful. I wouldn't mind a few more favourites that don't just concentrate on low carb but have a high fat content.
  • Thankyou @KnitOrMiss I already do your loaded tea and can highly recommend it to everyone. I add vanilla to mine  and use a stick blender so it is all frothy.
  • This is a really interesting thread. I am nowhere near my target but wondering what to do once that happens. I'm going to say something completely contradictory to @Karlottap as I have drastically increased my calories and have lost 2 pounds in 4 days ( i drastically changed my fat level so it is higher). For maintenance…
  • Thanks @kirkor for the warning. That machine looks like it would do backs in! Anyway did my 80 today :)
  • Did my 75 today. We're almost there @GrannyMayOz! That's a great way to get on with it and push towards your goals without injuring yourself. I have a dodgy knee so it is a balancing act of pushing yourself and not causing any serious harm.
  • I'm in the UK and luckily have good quality ones at my local farmers market. I don't use them to eat on its own but as a coating for southern fried chicken.
  • My goal is to make a dedicated routine and stick to it. I take too much time over-thinking what to cook and exercise rather than getting on with it. Making this goal into a SMART goal - Make a daily and weekly to-do list which includes meal planning and scheduling.
  • Hello did my 70 squats today. I am almost doing it to the whole of the ping pong song now!
  • I agree with @Dragonwolf. Depends on what works for you. I also keep the number of treats down but I'm one of these people that subtracts the sugar alcohols. I would feel like I would be punishing myself too much for having the occasional treat.
  • The above article also makes some of those points @FIT_Goat. Artificially implying significance from small data sets etc is called p-hacking meaning the p-values (and therefore significance of a study) is meaningless From the article referring to "statistical significance" "Whenever you hear that phrase, it means that some…
  • Me too definitely  I knew chocolate does not help with weight loss directly but helps with any craving. That book looks good too.
  • That's great @DarlingNikki2011! if you have the link that might help others who might want to do it that way. I enjoy this 27 day long one as I can do it to music to make it into a short cardio exercise as well as a core strengthening one. Also did my 70 squats today and having a rest day tomorrow.
  • Sometimes I don't fully trust personal trainers @GrannyMayOz after I used one and she pushed me too hard without warming up and I could not exercise for a week as I was too stiff. It's really hard to say as other times they have been great for me too. Anyway done my 65 today!
  • So hard to say- ;proper burgers; anything with cheese on it; roast chicken with garlic cloves, butter and thyme; southern fried chicken made with all the spices in my drawer, pork rinds, parmesan and soy flour; flourless chocolate cake; bacon and eggs fried in butter; almond butter cookies; peanut butter flourless…
  • 60 done!
  • Did my 55 today!
  • Oh no @Jbarnes1210! Don't overdo it. I hope your knee gets better soon
  • Hi! Back to it. Did my 50 whilst waiting for my bacon and eggs to cook

  • @Sk8Kate sounds like a great idea to mix them up a bit. @wabmester Thanks for the prison workout! It actually is very informative.
