OMGoodness! These sound divine!! :) I think the spice one with a pumpkin butter topping would be awesome for Thanksgiving!!! :)

I think it was a valid question. I also have PCOS and mild endometriosis - sometimes I'm fine on my period - sometimes I flood so bad that I go through a super plus tampon and an overnight pad in a hour - and that's when I'm sitting down! Standing up makes it worse - I've never tried exercising when I'm flooding like that…

Certainly not an expert, but if you're losing 2 lbs a week, I wouldn't mess with it. Like you said, if you hit a plateau you'll have play with it. Just my opinion. :)

Our neighbor watches my almost 2 year old - we pay her $20/day. My Mama watches him one day a week and my husband works 4 10 hour days so he's off on Friday - So we pay about $60/week; $240/month.

Enough with the WV bashing! :explode: Montani Semper Liberi

So this isn't even remotely authentic, but it's a quick yummy dinner! You get a pretty big portion and it's filling! http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/quick_chicken_tikka_masala.html Enjoy! :flowerforyou:

Good for you. :) However some of us are not as in tune with our body (although I'm trying). If it works it works - so if I feel hungry (or have the urge to "put something in my mouth"), I drink water instead and if I'm not really hungry ("bored, stressed or sad") then the urge to eat usually goes away. I just thought it…

Hi Manda - I also lost about 20 lbs last year - and gained it all back +. :( But the fact is - we're back! And we know what we need to do to lose weight - so let's do it!!! :) Sending you a FR.

While I agree that water in and of itself doesn't make you lose weight, often we mistake thirst for hunger. Being properly hydrated can keep this from happening. I'm trying to drink a glass of water if I feel hungry but know that I really shouldn't be (I've eaten recently for example).

5'4" 258 Size 20-22 US (depending on fit). Lots of things make a difference though! I hiked approximately 1200 miles on the appalachian trail in 2006 and weighted 180 when I got back - I was in a size 8-10. (and I can't get any smaller than that - my hip bones are too wide!)
-
You can do it. I completely understand the overwhelmed feeling. I've lost the weight many times just to gain it back again. And regardless of what others might believe - sometimes a kind word from an anonymous internet friend is exactly what it takes to give you that last bit of motivation that helps you make it through…

Also, if your symptoms are severe (which it sounds like they might be) check with your doctor about switching to the extended release version of Met. I know of several people who that helped. :)

I generally plan out my meals, but leave some flexibility (in case my husband gets home early and starts dinner - and it's not what I had planned, or I'm just starving that day and need something else). I try to leave some calories for snacks in there as well.
-
That's a tough one! If you can handle seeing the scale go up it might be a good idea to go ahead and weigh once a week. You can do this! :)

Using this calculator (http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html) if you are completely sedentary you should be eating 1615 to maintain your current weight. Lightly active jumps it up to 1851 and moderately active (exercising 3-5X per week) to 2087. I definately think you need to slowly up your calories…

It's all too easy to slip back into old habits! I did over the holidays (Which started in November with Thanksgiving here in the States). Just get back at it and do your best - don't beat yourself up! Sent you a freind request. :)
-
It's so easy for those pounds to creep on - and so hard to get them off! I stopped using MFP for 2 months over the holidays and gained 5 lbs! :-( Feel free to friend me! You can do this!!
-
I love it with peas! Just thaw frozen peas and eat it just like that. With tomatoes (only when they're in season - I just can't hack winter tomatoes!) and peppers or cucumber. I also eat it on top of my salads with just a little bit of fat free italian dressing - makes it taste like I'm eating a creamy dressing! :)
-
I try to keep portions of soup in my freezer for lunches. I have several go-to recipes that are between 100-200 calories a (approx 2 cup) serving, but you could easily take more or a higher calorie soup. Curries, rice dishes, stirfries all freeze well - just be sure to get as much air as possilbe out of your container. :)
-
Frozen Peas!! :) I know that's not quite what you were asking, but I love frozen peas!! Just thaw them a bit and add them to cottage cheese, salads, throw in some pasta and parmesan (i guess that's a little bit of cooking but still) - yummo!!

Check out http://www.skinnytaste.com/search/label/Crock%20Pot%20Recipes The Crock Pot Santa Fe Chicken is particularly good and I prep it ahead of time and throw it in the freezer - then when I want to have it I just defrost and throw the contents in the crockpot! Easy Peasy!! :) One note though - if you are away from home…
-
I'm in too!! Lost 20 lbs with MVP last year, but I'm sure I've gained some back since I've been gone over a month. :-( Need to lose A LOT more!! Sent a friend request. :-)

I almost always pack my lunch. As others have said, leftovers are always good. I also try to have some kind of soup in the freezer (I make my own so alternatively you could buy some canned soup) to grab for a quick lunch. As a last resort I have some freezer meals in the freezer at work that I can grab if I really don't…

You are looking awesome!! :) Great job - keep it up!! :)

It varies by state. Here in WV ours expire every 5 years after age 25 (You get new one at 21 as that's the legal drinking age). Mine says 180 - it was only off by 70 lbs when I was at my highest weight 2 months ago. :ohwell: :embarassed:

Once again a well written and helpful post my friend! :-) It is advice I'll take to heart next time I get a massive craving! Thanks!! :flowerforyou:

Ok, I'm done answering posts like this one - obviously the OP was not looking for actual answers to her question, just to bash other people to make herself feel good. :grumble: Do what works for you and stop criticizing others who may be at a different place in their journey. I've been on MFP for 40 days now and lost 14…
