If I didn't eat back my workout calories I'd be taking in less than 800 calories a day. I don't think that is healthy under any circumstances. I have been asked if perhaps I don't take in enough calories and my answer to that is I've eaten pretty much the same my entire life so my calories have not changed all that much.…

Believe me that doesn't work. I am a nutritionist and work with a personal trainer 3x a week, work full time and eat very clean. This is really just impossibly frustrating!

I so relate to this!! I use to do one hour on the elliptical without using the arms handles! That was 8 years ago. Had a workout related injury at 47 and my life changed drastically. At 55 and some weight gain I want to get back on the horse. I tried the elliptical yesterday and literally couldn't do 3 minutes!!!! My legs…

I've been in menopause or 8 years and the weight gain is unreal!!! I'm a nutritionist and have always exercised and even I put on weight that I couldn't have imagined. It's a struggle for sure. For me, I have to net 1000 calories a day so exercise is the key, smaller portions and definitely writing it down so you don't…

I use Isagenix Isalean shakes as meal replacements and recommend them highly. www.cherylcaruso.isagenix.com if you're interested. Great weight loss system.

I understand completely. Started menopause at age 45 (8 years ago) and although my cycle stopped 3 years ago, I'm still experiencing hot flashes daily and the weight gain in the past 8 years has been unreal. I exercise and eat right, am a nutritionist by trade, and still can't fit the weight Just have to go for being…

I agree!! Alcohol brings on my flashes too. The best thing to keep the flashes under control is 2 Tbsp. of ground flax seed daily. You can put them in your yogurt, a protein shake, on cereal, even tossed on top of a salad. They are a phytoestrogen and really work wonders. I've tried a million other supplements specifically…

Smaller plates are a great idea! I started using a bowl rather then a plate.

I hear you ladies. I'm stuck in my 7th years of menopause and can not believe how much weight I gained!!!! Who's body is this anyway??? I eat well (I'm a nutritionist for God's sake), exercise but nothing works. I will say up until I was 45 I was working out about two hours 5 days a week. Then I had an injury which…

Thanx all. That's what I've been doing. Just thought the calorie burn wasn't accurate. How are everyone's results who are doing it? I'm in week two and don't really see any difference.

I think I logged it as Latin Dance, or just dance. I might be confusing sites but dance would work.

I go to the gym right from work because I know if I went home first, I wouldn't be motivated to go out again. So I became a member of a gym closer to my office. Beats the commuters rush home as well so there is less traffic after the gym :)

Chips are my battle as well. I wish us both luck!

Be kinder to yourself and go with the flow. Only thing that is consistent in life is change. Learn to embrace it. Wasn't it John Lennon who said "Life is what happens when you're making other plans." When you hold on too tightly, you sometimes miss the gems that come your way when the winds of change come in. :flowerforyou:
