They say the last 10 pounds are the hardest to lose and you only have 7 to go. I too would suggest cutting your calories back (say by 2oo) or try a different / more aggresive exercise routine. Don't give up, you are sooooo close!!!

It's more like a treat, but I love Skinny-Cows mint ice cream sandwiches.

Left over lasagna noodles, sooo toss them... My husband (JK)...how about an ice cream maker that has never been used in 10 years.

I started off on a treadmill a few years ago, not knowing about elliptical. My routine went from walking to jogging/running. I always hated running (and really admire those who did) so I was excited to jog 3 to 4 miles (45-60 minutes) on it. I tracked my calories burned and though it was still a chore to get on it, I felt…

 Right that!

So, I speak for myself and my three office mates.... Cheeze-its Red Vines Cheese and Crackers Chips and Salsa

Well heck, wouldn’t logic have it that I’d be adored by millions then?

Thank you so much for sharing your story. It has been reassuring to hear as I too have been at a plateau for a few months. I haven't gained and I do consider that an accomplishment but still feel frustrated at times. I will take your advice and not give up and I will take the advice your (smart) friend "sometimes we focus…

My favorite is the mint ice cream sandwich. Not exactly an It's-It original, but good none-the-less.

Thanks for sharing. I love before and after pictures, they are inspiring. Congratulations, I can definitely see the difference. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, I am going to read it tonight and never did agree with those commercials in the first place.

I would say to try to earn some of those calories back with exercise. You probably could deduct them from tomorrow but I only suggest that if your total allowed calories are more than 1200, otherwise you may feel really hungry. I know I would

Welcome. You will find your story is not an uncommon one and hear many more success stories to make you feel like "I CAN DO IT!' I wish I had the motivation at 23 (not 10+ years down the road). Best of Luck!!!

I have seen other MFP members set rewards instead of mini-goals. For example each time they lost 10 lbs (or whatever amount they chose), then they reward themselves with a massage, new clothes, do something fun, go on a trip, etc. I like this idea and will probably set some rewards myself. Good Luck!

My days have to be different. I haven’t tried the special K plan because to me it feels more like a diet. The general philosophy of MFP is “lifestyle change”. The special K may be a good way to jump start or be on for a short while, but ultimately one will have to learn to eat “real” healthy food (and exercise). This way…

Me too, please share

Only thing I could think of and have done is compare it to a Chinese food chain. You probably could find PF Chang's or Panda Express nutritional info online.

M... The month of MAY
-
Hello and congratulations on your head start to being healthy. MFP is all about life-style change not “diet”. I had to recognize and accept that last May when I knew enough was enough. So far, I have lost 52 lbs with a total goal of 85 lbs to lose. I plan to be down 60 lbs by this May which would be a year. Initially is…

That's adorable! Nothing wrong with a little squishy.... Good job on being close to your goal and from what it sound like, being a good mom.

Thanks for posting. I try to do at least 20 minutes of strength training 4x/wk and I will stay on top of it. Another important thing is to stretch...something I have to get better in doing.

A true inspiration! Thanks for sharing your story. Keep us posted.

Lately, it has been Skinny-Cow Mint Ice Cream Sandwiches.

A true inspiration! Congratulations on your success.

I do not eat my exercise calories (average 500 - 600 calories per day x 5 times per week), and have been losing about 2lbs/wk.
-
I would leave a fitting room in tears:cry:

Losing 30 lbs (and counting). A bday present (back in May) to myself to be healthy and fit for my next bday. When was the last time you......called an old friend.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. It sounds like the two of you were very close. As hard as it may be to commit to diet and exercise at this time, take it in baby steps. Just going for a 15 minute walk will help clear your mind and deal with your emotions. Then you can tackle this head-on when you are ready.
