so within a week and a half i have lost about 2 lbs for breakfast is special k cereal w. lowfat milk snack is either a granola bar, almonds, fruit, lunch is tuna sandwich with lettuce, or a chicken salad salad (with grapes and walnuts), and dinner is either cereal or cottage cheese and granola then nothing to eat after 6. so far thats been working for me and i drink about 10 glasses of water. thats my meal plan may be a little plain but it keeps me from wondering what i want to eat then i end up getting a big greasy hamburger. do you have any usuals or is every day different?

I tend to stick to the same foods for breakfast and lunch, but then have different dinners. I mostly have oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast, a chicken sandwich on my light bread for lunch with a thin layer of mayo and some Lays Light chips and either an apple or orange. I also have a Quaker Oats bar as a snack. It's a pretty much day in, day out, month to month thing. Some people might find it boring, but, I LOVE being in control of my eating, and it's good, filling foods that aren't bad "number wise", so that I can enjoy a fairly good meat and potatoes type dinner.0 -
Well, I never used to stick to meal plan persay, but since starting p90x and having very specific nutrient goals my meals have been getting quite routine..
1 egg + 4 scrambled egg white, one turkey sausage, shredded spinach, and a protein shake for breakfast
protein shake for snack
spinach and strawberry salad with chicken, or a can of tuna and maybe a small tortilla or slice of caraway rye for lunch
small fruit + protein shake for dinner
chicken breast with avocado for dinner
fat free choco milk + half a frozen banana blended together for post work out
Kinda boring, and really weird eating so much protein, because I'm a huge carb addict haha, but it's only for a month, so I'm doing my best to stick it out so I can get the best results from the plan0 -
if you want a hamburger then give your body one but make it at home with extra lean ground beef...If you keep limiting your self to just that food then you will take a bigger chance of falling of the wagon and going on a eating spree...i have lost 20 pounds in 5 weeks and I eat alot of diffrent things hamburger being one of them..my food diary is open if you would like to take a look...it is all about portion control not limiting your food!0

My days have to be different. I haven’t tried the special K plan because to me it feels more like a diet. The general philosophy of MFP is “lifestyle change”. The special K may be a good way to jump start or be on for a short while, but ultimately one will have to learn to eat “real” healthy food (and exercise). This way you may not feel deprived or bored, still go out to eat, enjoy gatherings, etc. Good Luck!0

i wouldn't say that i am on the special k plan its just a cereal that i like could be cherrios or corn flakes. don't get me wrong i still eat other foods. it just during the work week this is easy for me. on the weekends i will have an egg white omelette or for lunch a jenny o turkey hamburger. but ithis is what so far works for me. but thanks for the advice ill try to spice it up a bit, i try to limit my greasy foods at least two weeks apart as a treat.0 -
I tend to keep my days pretty steady - I only change it up every now and then to satisfy a craving for something different.
I usually have Special K Chocolatey Delight (lately mixed with the red berries cereal - yum).
For lunch I have started making really awesome chicken salads - lettuce, chicken breast, blue cheese, sunflower seeds, tomato cucumber and balsamic. Or - lettuce, chicken breast, strawberries, almonds, feta and raspberry vinaigrette - this one is practically dessert!
If I run out of those ingredients I go for a Lean Cuisine or a low fat sandwich on wheat with a yogurt.
My dinners are always different though. i get less bored, I think. I have found all sorts of really delicious, different, healthy foods online and in various recipe books. They're so good the don't feel like dieting. And if I start to feel like i"m depriving myself I'll get frustrated.
But I agree that a routine generally keeps me away from doing something bad. And it still doesn't feel like a diet, because its a routine of foods I actually enjoy.0
