Hi Everyone. My name is Amanda and I just got added to the challenge. I lost 45+ pounds on MFP between November of 2012 and May of this year then I travelled for two months and gained 20 pounds back. I haven't gained or lost any weight since I've finished my travels so I really need to become more consistent to lose the…

I don't know why I can't edit my original post but I can't so here's my weigh-in from today

I have a giant bowl of pasta once a week and it's usually less than 500 calories. 50 grams of whole wheat pasta, 300+ grams of veggies, normally broccoli, zuchinni, carrots, cabbage and bell peppers, 100+ grams of chicken breast and 2-4 tbs of a low calorie vinegarette. It is delicious, filling and full of carbs and…

I guess most people don't use both kg and pounds but your numbers for your current weight are off. 79.1 kg is actually 174 pounds. Your goal weight conversion is correct. This could affect other people's BMR calculations and it shows that you've actually got more weight to lose. A lot of people would say it's safer to lose…
-
BMR doesn't include activity so that's why it isn't in the equation.

Yes, I try and make sure I'm under for the week though so if I"m over one day I'll just eat a bit less the next or go for a longer walk.

If you picked two sushi rolls that totaled only 600 be thankful, a lot of sushi rolls are over 500 each, so good job! Also a 600 calorie lunch isn't that much. I often have 600 calorie lunches and they fit into my 1600 calorie day no problem and I usually eat 5-6 times a day. If you do need some extra room go for a walk.

Unless you start eating more, if you're adding all that cardio you are going to lose weight.

It's quite common to stop losing weight or even gain weight when you start a new exercise routine. Your muscles retain water until they get used to the new activity. As for how many calories, I'm a female so I don't know if you can compare my stats to yours but I started off at 211 pounds and I'm 170cm. Without exercising…

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it. Just know you are not alone. After losing 45+ pounds I'm quite happy with the same areas as you and not as happy with the same ones. My waist to hip ratio has decreased from .75 to .69. Right now I'm just trying to learn how to flaunt my curves!
-
I'd eat back at least half of your exercise calories. I'm 5'7 and weigh 163. I don't do a ton of exercise, just try to get my 10,000 steps in daily and I eat between 1600-1800 calories a day. I'm losing a pound a week.

I live in rural Korea so I feel your pain on getting some things. I found iherb.com and it has solved all of my protein needs, I order protein powder and have a coffee protein shake every morning for breakfast, it has 30 grams of protein! I have 2 boiled eggs for a snack almost every day as well.

That sounds very similar to what I've gone through multiple times during this journey. After losing about 40 pounds I felt pretty satisified, I was the smallest I had ever been in my life but I wasn't at my goal yet. Like you I hadn't deprived myself to get to lose that 40 pounds, I definitely had my fair share of…

My story sounds similar to yours. I first lied about my weight when I was 9 years old. I was over 200 pounds in high school. My highest known weight was 220 but I didn't step on a scale for a number of years so I wouldn't be shocked if it was much more than that. I tried numerous diets starting in middle school. I've lost…

If you hit your total calorie count and hit your fats and protein level there's no way you were 100 grams over on carbs. Carbs and Protein have 4 calories/gram while fats have 9. If your total calories are 1337 and you're only supposed to have 150g that would mean 600 calories come from carbs and the remaining 737 calories…

The only thing that's worked for me is taking a diet break. I've been stuck twice before, both times lasting around 4 weeks and I was weighing everything I was eating. I was doing everything right, eating at a deficit, the scale just wasn't moving. Both were around times I was either going out of town or I had friends…
-
Exercise isn't going to help you lose weight, your diet is what's going to do it. Though at your weight you definitely don't need to. I think you probably need to just develop more confidence in your body! If you weigh more than your friend who thinks you look the same it probably just means you have more muscle which is a…

I lost my first 20 kilos pretty quickly and without any issues, averaging around a kilo a week. It took me 4-5 months. Without changing anything, I stopped losing weight for 2 months straight. I was still weighing everything and eating 1600 calories which was at least a 500 calorie deficit, depending on how active I was…

If there's still room, I'd like to join too. Thanks for organizing.

I'm 5'7 and currently 167 pounds/75.8 kgs Bust: 39" Waist: 29" Hips: 43" Thigh: 25.5" I'm definitely a classic pear. The majority of my weight/inches have come from my bust and waist, I'm impatiently waiting to lose from my hips and thighs.

I'm 5'7 and pear shaped. SW: 207, I was 38 G CW: 167, I am 34 F

Just peeked at your diary and I noticed most of the items you enter are by weight, however you said you don't weigh your food. I would recommend buying a food scale, they're pretty cheap, because it's really easy to underestimate how much you're actually eating. Good luck!
-
It looks like we've got about the same body shape. I've lost the same amount of weight as you have and have lost 3" from each thigh. I'd say you've lost even more. You can definitely notice a huge difference. Keep doing whatever it is you're doing.

I didn't read the whole thread just the first couple of pages so I'm not sure if this has been brought up or not but she lost 150 pounds in a couple of months which means she is going to have loose skin. She probably has about 10 extra pounds in loose skin meaning she's really 95 pounds.....and people are trying to say…

I would definitely recommend eating at least your goal now. You may be feeling great at the moment but in a couple of months when you've lost weight it's not going to be great. If you're not eating enough calories and protein at least half of what you lose is going to be lean body mass. The less LBM you have the lower your…

The majority of my weight loss for the month is during TOM. I usually lose around 1-1.5 kg while I'm on my period and I'll be lucky to lose 0.5 kg the rest of the month.
-
It definitely depends on your body type. I'm currently 165 and am hoping to lose 10 pounds max. I'm a huge pear shape so getting much lower can't really happen for me. I currently measure 40" around my hip bones and they hurt already when I'm lying on my side because the bones are protruding because there's not a ton of…
