I wouldn’t necessarily agree with the notion that you shouldn’t start with a crash diet. As long as you’re acutely aware that you will need to work at a healthy maintenance diet at some point.

I don’t think the point of their post was to belittle you - though you’ve had the bulk of advice saying the first and best place to start would be to begin stringently tracking your macros / calories.....you seem adverse to doing this, and with no reason as to why?

As above just be wary of being sure to form decent eating habits once you are done with your initial crash. The last thing you want is to go through the pain and effort of losing a lot of weight to add it back by “reverting to type” As above though, absolutely no need to cut carbs etc

I think that getting back to basics is a good idea. Calories in V calories out is what I would focus on at this point, and trying to ensure you’re eating whole foods on the deficit that big will be key. If having a treat is something that will, allow you to adhere then that’s gonna be good however as has been said ensuring…

This Personally I find once I start eating I get ravenous! So usually wont eat until 21:00 - 22:00 ish When I'll have ~2k cals But that is what works for me. @ weekends I like to spread things out a bit so that I can go and have that fry up etc. :)

I wouldn't say I love it or hate it, but the option to just dive into a fast food place and get some thing is nice. I would say I love the convenience, but dont really rate it for the taste or anything more the instant gratification

"the protein works" have some great tasting shakes. other than that. chick breast turkey breast tuna steak cottage cheese all good sources :)
