If you like tomatoes I love tossing in some cut up grape tomatoes with some sauted mushrooms, onion, spinach etc. and garlic (plus I almost always add Italian seasonings). The tomatoes cook in a bit and their juices add to the veggies and it's almost like it's own light sauce.

Popcorn. It's a good bet to get you over the hunger and not break the bank on calories. Make some then maybe take a walk this evening before bed and you should be even.
-
Maybe you should think of changing your goal....maybe not so much losing any more weight but firming up and losing body fat. If you like your current look then that's what matters give your family some time they will get used to the new slimmer you.

Okay...so yes a scale is better than measuring cups...but measuring cups are better than eyeballing it or nothing at all. baby steps here people!
-
If a scale seems to much for you drag out your measuring cups....that's all I use and it dos help. I was surprised what 2 tablespoons of salad dressing looked like...or what a tablespoon of peanut butter is when spread on bread. Your workouts seem fine just don;t believe the calorie burn estimates you find on MFP they are…

Okay...that's fair. We can't help you without a starting point though.

Without knowing your current stats and what your goal is we can;t really give any advice on your meal plan. For someone my size that might be too much to see a deficit, but I'm 5'1 and 131 pounds...

Don't give up just because you're not seeing the results fast enough. Keep it up and it'll normalize. For now try to watch the sodium, if that's not an option drink twice as much water. Be careful with supplements there are some that you can take too much of so do some research first but if it's safe magnesium can also…

Sorry honey, but a whole bottle every night just isn't healthy any way you slice it. Let's be honest here....you need to cut back a little anyway. The diet isn't the problem if you can't get by on one or two glasses here or there....then you have another problem (or are heading in that direction). Have your glass or…

A couple things. I see a lot of bars and prepackaged foods. I'm not knocking them....I love them but not as an everyday thing. You need to eat more fresh fruits and veggies. I'm no saint but I try. Things like greek yogurt and granola with berries....also mostly prepackaged and easily found at the store....a good low…

Not so sure about that....I think once we get to a heavier weight our body fights us a bit to stay there....so at first I'm always a little hungry....then my body start to get that this is the new normal and it better use the fat stores instead of asking for more. So a little hunger may bot be a bad thing....I'm not saying…

Well....I'm 5'1" and 37 y/o so my goal is few pounds higher than yours. I can tell you at our height and age you can't "do whatever you want" for 2 days and lose weight. As you've seen it's possible to maintain like that but not to lose. I absolutely have to count your calories, measure everything, drink lots of water and…

Hmmm well I'm 131 pounds and 37 y/o (only trying to get to 127 though) and my calorie intake goal is always 1200 or higher...never lower. You must have set yours up different. I thought no one ever got a calorie intake goal lower than 1200. I would say 1300 intake in one day won't hurt you. My lightly active average form…

I have a flex. For a while I wore it even in the shower and it never broke but I've decided why tempt fate. I think heavy sweat is no big deal I used to just take it off and dry it of before my post workout shower. I'm sure if your heart rate was an issue your doctor would not be okay with you exercising....so I wouldn't…

MFP won't let your goal drop below 1200 (even for those who it might be right for like the very petite) so how did you get a goal of 1040?
-
Good suggestions I only eat back about half of my exercise calories as well. It seems to work better than not any back, but I think that differs form person to person. Also are you weighing or measuring what you eat? Using a scale is the best way but I personally don't have the patients for that....I do use measuring cups…

Thanks! Too bad I got rid of the larger bands there's no way the small ones will fit around my ankle. I figured that I should estimate low for yoga. Barre seems a little more intense. lol I do usually get a good walk in either to the yoga studio or to and from the bus. I'll make sure to estimate low. I don't usually eat…

I don't mean this to be snarky....but in just one week, how would you even know? Really, give it some time.
-
Oh! So, sorry! Actually, I tried to find this post on my own and I have no idea where this is hidden but's it's good info. I just wish it were in a more obvious place.
-
Haha! I just posted the exact same thing! It's been happening for a couple hours at least. I tried to post in the Technical/Help board but it wouldn't let me.

Yep. It's all about the planning. Of course I slip up, but the last 3 weeks I have been really good and I've lost at least 3 pounds (I'm guessing at least one was water lol). The great thing is now that I know that this works for me I can do it anytime I feel like I've slipped up. I recently moved over 2000 miles....and I…

Yep. Time of day is a big one and also clothing/shoes. I always weigh myself right when I get up after my potty break and total nekkid (right be fore I jump in the shower). If I weigh any other time or with clothes on or after the shower (with wet hair) I weigh more. So I use the nekkid weight as my ground zero.

Oh! me too! 5'1" 131 currently. On this size body 1 pound of water weight it almost unbearable. I totally understand. I think if you send me a request you can view my diary. Here's what I do I pick a breakfast and lunch I can eat every day for 3-4 days and I buy it and pre-pack (greek yogurt and granola with some berries…

After a cheat meal (which usually means I ate out) I have terrible water retention because my body got used to very little salt and restaurants seem to pile on the sodium. So after one bad day I used to feel all puffy and gross for at least 3 days...and yes maybe it's mostly water weight and if I'm patient it will work…

Yep, we get this a lot! Basically there is no 100% right answer. Do what works for you. If your calorie intake is already really low (say MFP set you at 1200 a day) then you might want to eat some of them back. However, use caution because the calories burned in the activity calculator and the output you see on your…

Yes, this! I had one of the those health checkups where my glucose was higher than normal it turned out it was because I took my birth control pill late at night. My A1C was normal. Not that making better choices isn't a good move but it will help you to lose weight and get heather in general but make sure you know all the…

I'm 5'1" with a medium build. I got rid of my scale when I moved but I'm guessing I was at about 135 when I came back this time around (judging by how my clothes fit as compared tot he last time I weighed 135) and my goal is 127-130. I've never been below 123 as an adult. So even though some calculators will tell me 117 is…

For me, because I'm only trying to lose a few pounds I get a lot of "You don't need to lose weight, why are you on a diet?" or "one cookie won't kill you" type remarks. Well sorry people. I'm 5'1 if I eat more than 1200 calories a day I won't lose weight. My friend who is 5'9"....sure a cookie won't kill her diet but for…

Yep eating out always makes me gain water weight, it's the salt for sure. Watch your sodium for a couple days and you'll see it disappear soon enough. My quick fix is a nice hot bath with epsum salts. I feel like it helps to get some of that extra fluid out of my tissues and balance out the sodium levels because of the…

Yep, I heard a lot of this and I did it for months. I agree it does seem to help with regularity. I don't think it really does anything weight wise. Here's a link to an article foodmatters.tv/articles-1/cheers-to-drinking-warm-lemon-water
