I just started yesterday, and did all of level 1 without pausing. I had no problem with most of the exercises, but I couldn't complete the bicep curl/side lunge with 15 pounds. I'll have to pick up something lighter for that exercise. /35 year old guy, about 157 pounds.

Exactly. The other day my wife made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, so I wasted half of my calories and 80% of my fat on breakfast. She made a decent dinner, but I ate nothing but a full bag of steamed veggies so I could come in at goal. Freaking sacrifice.

My wife would be more supportive, but she's a few months pregnant. When I tell her I lost a pound or something, I get the "I don't want to hear it" look. I've only been counting calories and really trying to lose weight for a few weeks. I weigh myself almost daily. I find it motivates me to eat better and to workout, and it keeps me on track when I underestimate meals but think I'm doing OK.

They don't "push" the cheese and sauces. I'm in Subway every week or two, and I just say no to sauce, and sometimes to cheese. They never ask twice or tell me I should really have some. In fact, they're probably happy that they just saved a few cents.

I've lost about 3 pounds in the past week (3.4 pounds in 8 days) since joining mfp and tracking this stuff. At 168 pounds, it will take 56 weeks. 9/19/2013 or so.

Stop doing the first, change what you do for the second, and the third won't be a problem. I used to go to the bar every week with my brother and some friends.
