5'5" 148 lbs 36-26.5-38 (very hourglass) Small to medium tops depending on the space provided in the bust (I'm a busty gal). Size 6-10 depending on brand and how high/low rise the jeans are.

It's hard to tell what I should count as making the most difference. Over the past few years (starting from total couch potato), I've done 30DS, other JM videos, Insanity (2 rounds), P90X (2 rounds hybrid with Insanity), running, cycling, and now weight lifting. Did I shed most of my weight doing JM videos? No, but I'm not…

The only reliable way to boost your metabolism is through gaining muscle. Obviously other things like maintaining good diet (don't starve yourself, basically), limiting stress, and getting enough sleep are all good so that you don't knock your metabolism off course, but to actually boost it and make your body more…

No More Trouble Zones is a 45-minute workout based on weights and specific muscle-targeting bodyweight movements. Very good for challenging your entire body without any joint-slamming cardio. Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism is a 45-minute cardio workout. It's a definite step up in terms of heart rate from 30DS. Ripped in 30…

After losing 50 lbs, I went from a 38DD to a 36D. They still look good, but I'm pretty young and haven't had kids yet, so I haven't really pushed the boundaries of what this skin can do yet.

As someone who has always been a binge eater, regardless of whether I'm in the process of losing weight or not, I do feel a certain fear when someone brings in a bunch of sweets to work or a social event. I can't have one, because it will never be just one. Sure, an occasional slip-up is not a big deal. I still have binges…

I am 5'5", 143 lbs (started at 195 lbs), and at last measurement I was 37-26-38. The goal I've had in mind was 140 lbs, but honestly, I could probably lose a few more pounds than that. At the same time, I look and feel great right now, so I guess I'd be ok with staying right where I am, too. When I first started, I was the…

So, my experience has been with three different pills: Ortho-Tri-Cyclen, LoEstrin, and OrthoCyclen. I took the first pill in high school and college because I had some issues with my body maintaining any kind of menstrual schedule, and that pill most closely simulates the natural ebb and flow of your monthly hormones. I…

I see no reason to pit them against each other. They both gave me great results, and doing a hybrid of the two gave me the best results of all. I could see Insanity being more of a problem for people with bad knees or other injuries that severely limit jumping exercises. It's a lot easier to modify moves in P90X.

I'm in! I've hit something of a plateau and it has made me obsess over the scale. No weighing until December!

I love almond milk! I get the original type from Trader Joe's. I bought it on a whim one day just to see what I thought, and it tastes pretty good to me. I still really like cow's milk, but I'm having fun with almond milk for now.

That's awesome! What a great step in your journey :D For what it's worth, my mother had some pretty awful cholesterol levels a few years ago and turned it around with kinda crazy speed by taking red yeast rice pills and adding two tablespoons of milled flaxseed to her morning oatmeal. Obviously everyone's different, but…

Honestly, if that fitbit is going to motivate you and it's not going to set you back financially to buy it, go for it. If you are motivated by online medals, then go earn yourself a ton of them. My roommate really loves her fitbit and it's actually inspired her to go for a walk later in the day when she wasn't happy with…

Stevia's great! I also use Trader Joe's version. I sweeten my coffee and oatmeal with it. I still usually use sugar for baking because I think it wouldn't work as well with stevia, but I could be wrong. Has anyone tried baking with it? For substitutions, I usually go about half and half with brown rice and lentils now if…

I pretty recently finished my stint in grad school (master's degree, wooo!) so while we're no longer in the same boat, I can tell you that the best thing I ever did was organize a "cooking day". I would get together with some friends and we would cook one or two huge dishes, usually along the lines of soups, casseroles,…

HW: 195 lbs LW: 145 lbs CW: 146 lbs GW: I don't even know. I've never been there before. As I intend to start lifting, I don't think it's wise to actually select a number. I just know I can probably afford to lose a few more pounds of fat. If I weren't going to lift? 140 would probably be my goal and I'd evaluate further…

To the multiple excuses for not running, specifically, my immediate response is "Do something else!" Hell, I hate running. You couldn't pay me enough to run a 5K (actually, you probably could, but I'd complain the entire way and give you multiple dirty looks, even as I'm crossing the finish line). I hop on my bike instead.…

Short answer: do what gets results and that you can live with. Longer answer: My approach for figuring out calories is to calculate my TDEE with MFP, setting the activity level at sedentary. I then set it to calculate what I should eat if I want to lose a pound per week. This means that right off the bat, MFP is telling me…

Oh goodness, bumping this for later!

I honestly found it useful to take a break from daily, high-impact cardio. That stuff is hard on your joints, even without the bad knees that run in my family. I did P90X shortly after finishing my first round of Insanity (substituting Insanity videos for the Plyometrics and Kenpo videos) and took up cycling after later…

Honestly, your motivation WILL run out. If you only look at the big picture and that huge end goal while not looking at anything in between, you're going to mentally burn out before you reach that point. You need some smaller goals to keep you going, and more than anything, you need a routine. A routine keeps you going…

Just keep in mind that Truvia/Stevia has a very different taste. There are some things that I find it works well for, such as sweetening my coffee, but I don't like the taste in other recipes that call for sugar, even if I use less. It's very overpowering and it's simply a different kind of sweetness. Your mileage may vary.

How did you set up your plan for MyFitnessPal? If you're sticking right to the typical plan (I believe it's typical, but please correct me if I'm wrong), then you're losing at the exact rate that you should be. That means that what you're doing is working as expected. If you want to lose weight faster, you might have to go…
