I do jillian michaels 30 day shred combined with 30 minutes on a stationary bike...is the strength training invovled in jillians workout enough to help me tone up or would i need to do more? Also i recently broke a 2 month plateau and i tried eating 1600-1800 to help me start losing weight again but that didnt seem to…

I'm currently 150 lbs and want to lose 15-20 lbs by xmas/end of the year. But i don't know if it's possible seeing as I'm trying to recover from a plateau at the moment :(

Ok, thanks everyone. Everthing seems a lot clearer now, just need to put it into practise. One last thing though, on the days that i don't exercise, how many calories should I be aiming to eat? Would it be whatever my BMR is?

Yeah i suppose, i'd just hoped to be down to my ultimate goal weight (120lbs) by the new year and with 30 lbs to go, I don't think that's gonna happen. Ah well, if i'm at least 10lbs away from my goal weight by the new year, i'll consider that an achievement :)

I know it depends on the person, but if i start upping my calorie intake, (about 100-200 each week till i'm there), when should I start losing weight normally (about 2lbs p/w) again?

so on the days I'm excercising, i should really be eating 1800 calories? :noway: ha, i havent eaten that much in forever, not even on my so called 'cheat days'! So I'm guessing i should prepare for the scale to go up at first?

Ah i see....but the thing is, MFP says i should net 1200 calories a day, so if i start eating 1500 calories a day, and burn 300 through excercise, am i not meeting my net calories goal set by MFP? Therefore would i still need to eat back my excercise calories?

149 lbs, 5"2. 21 years old, BMR is 1512.3 and my TDEE is 2331. I exercise about 5-6 days a week. 30-45 minutes if im doing high intesity exercises such as running and 90 minutes if im swimming. And no i do not eat back my calorie exercises.

Yeah i definately agree with that, as long as the scale keeps going down, we'll eventually feel/look how we want- just a matter of time :)

I definately do feel much better health wise so that is a major positive I suppose. And i think maybe my clothes were a little smaller to begin with. I was a size 14 for a long period of time (2 years) , gained a lot in several months, so had been wearing tops in size 16's before i'd started my weight loss 3 months ago,…

Thanks guys! Well it turns out that i was a little in denial about being a full size 16 to begin with and considered myself a 14/16. Well who was i kidding, hadn't bought a size 14 top in months! Well, I bought a few yesterday and they fit perfectly, (albiet, a little tight) but i'm still a 16 in jean sizes :(. I take it…
