  • JEALOUS MUCH!?!?! I am sure your coworker is just jealous. She probably is unhappy that she doesnt look as good as you at 6 months pregnant! I agree that you shouldnt take this idiots view that you need more work on your toosh. When I was pregnant (my son is 8 weeks old) I had the common comment "Are you sure you arent…
  • Im 5'10" and 210. Its so aggravating when people ask my weight and then argue with me bc I dont look "that big." Yeah, you are right, I just thought it would be fun to ADD weight when I tell you! Seriously! My lowest and healthiest was 178 and thats my goal again. I just had my third baby and started the journey again.…
  • Plus it sets an important precedent and sends the message that this will not be tolerated ever again, in any way. If it opens up more transparancy in college sports, I am fine with that! Too many times, things are covered up or dealt with in a less harsh manner simply because someone is a stellar athlete/coach/program.
  • ^^ABSOLUTELY THIS!!!^^ IT TOTALLY PISSES ME OFF (language, sorry) THAT PEOPLE ARE SO OUTRAGED BY THE REVOKING OF WINS IN A DAMN GAME (& I love football) OVER THE COVER-UP OF WHAT HAPPENED TO THOSE CHILDREN! I havr sympathy for the young en who play there now, its a hard pill to swallow, but you cant hide or ignore what was…
  • Well said....I totally agree that you HAVE to give yourself some wiggle room or you will burn out. Example: This weekend was my daughters 5th birthday. I let myself have cake (granted I made one with diet pop instead of the eggs and oil to compensate-but I used real frosting), a scoop of ice cream AND potato chips!…
  • This looks A-MAZ-ING!
  • My hubs isnt really the "talking emotions" type. When I send him my weekly loss for his work weight loss challenge, he might reply with a "Damn Girl" or "Im so proud of you." but thats all over text. Hes not usually comfortable with the "in person" congratulations. (I blame his emotionally stunted mother and idiot…
  • Drop one hour of cardio a day and replace it with strength training? Is that the consensus? Free weights vs machines????
  • I am set to 1.4 lbs per week and I understand the idea to go down to 1 or .5 but that wont help with my calorie issue-it will only give me more calories to eat! I thought I was getting good weight work in Step Interval and Pilates, but I can see adding more. What would you drop? Cardio, I know, but which ones?
  • Did you catch the part where she does the 30 minute video 4X a day to earn that burn? I work out 2 hours a day usually and burn anywhere from 600-1200 calories doing high intensity cardio and some weight training. Shennanigans for sure. Sorry.
  • So, you actually end up doing this 30 minute video for 2 hours a day to lose a pound a day? While I am happy for you and your results these last 5 days, I can practically promise that will not be even close to an average. Its virtually impossible for your body to maintain a pound a day weight loss. While that would be…
  • I also rest on Fridays and Sundays. It has less to do with my body and more to do with my schedule, but I do find that most times it helps me. The hardest part is staying under my calories the days I dont exercise. I think its mostly a personal preference.
  • Thank you! I really just log, log, log and exercise, exercise, exercise! It is at the point now where I can eat just about anything (in moderation, of course) because I work out a lot. I usually burn anywhere from 600-1100 calories a day. I have a feeling I am going to have to adjust this soon because I am having trouble…
  • Yes to all of the above...at least 3 lbs between morning and night (even the same day) and Ive been up as much as 8 lbs with my period. Fear not...being a woman is even worse when tracking your weight!
  • Agreed on the saying "I am trying to watch what I eat, but Ill make the exception today". Someone also said "One day of over calories isnt going to kill you and its not worth hurting a friends feelings"--agree on that one, too! And REALLY on the sabotaging? Some people can be so dramatic. To the non-dieting person, a…
  • Agreee...my Dr told me: caloric deficit (which obviously you are doing, being on MFP and all  ) and cardio, cardio, cardio! She says everyone has abs, they are just hidden under the belly fat. Yes, workouts designed specifically for abs and core strength will help build thos ab muscles, but without weight loss, youll…
  • Ditto to Acg67 Im just starting my abs but I havent gone to low carb/low sugar at all and am ovverjoyed with what I am seeing. I agree with caloric deficit and keep working at it.
  • Hungry Girl also has a TV show that is FABULOUS! Check out your guide to see if you get it! I DVR every episode. Shes got some fantastic recipes and "swaps" for bad things we shouldnt have, but she makes it work! My favorite is her Apple Pie in a Mug with Red Hots. YUM! She also has books: 200 under 200 (200 recipes under…
  • My fave.... CrockPot Chicken 4 -4 oz chicken breast (frozen) 1 diced bell pepper (about one cup) 1 can of any white beans drained and rinsed (I use northern beans) 1 can diced tomatoes 2 tsp basil salt and pepper to taste (I use 1/8 tsp each) Put the chicken on the bottom of the crock pot Sprinkle basil, salt and pepper on…
  • I am 5'10", 177 lbs and in 8s and 6s depending on the brand/cut. I dont really know my inch measurement, but I have a pair of 29 that are too big.
  • I did put them in the database when I first started, but wasnt there something about "eventually" sharing recipes? Is there a way to search other peoples recipes?
  • Welcome! This site is the best! Ive been married since 2004, but I wish Id have found this site before my wedding!
  • Thats the BEST! Id be floating, too! :drinker:
  • I have two kids 2 and 5. I just took this pic a few days ago in a dressing room bc for the first time in A LONG time, I saw more abs and less pouch. I do tons, tons, tons, of cardio (each class ends with 10 mintues of intense ab work), and a few toning classes like weight lifting and pilates. I also think Zumba has done a…
  • I agree with not buying it! If its in my house I eat it...so as rule of thumb I dont buy anything I would be upset with myself for eating. Even 100 calorie packs dont work for me bc I dont stop at just one. I used to say it was for my kids...they liked the snacks, but if I shouldnt eat it, should my kids? I have cereal a…
  • Change the IMG to lower case....thats how it works for me anyway. Good luck!
  • This about made me cry. Thank you! I cant stop looking at the pic bc I dont believe its me...and Im the one who took the picture!
  • My husband and I are in one righ tnow (4 of 12 weeks left) and I LOVE IT! The way his comapny is doing it: *you had to sign up in pairs and create a team name. The pairs are competing against eachother. *weigh ins are each Monday and must be reported by noon. *there are monetary prized for 1st-3rd (he works for a very…
