Yes, just because you are bleeding doesnt mean you cant do anything!! It also relieves many symptoms. You burn more calories as well as you run hotter.

If you eat well nutritionally you don't actually need protein shakes. I spoke to qualified people and every single one of them say that protein shakes are just a marketing strategy. also there is a danger of gaining weight if you are not using the shakes properly. I only occasionally use protein shakes.

get your knee alignment checked. You may have issues that running has brought to the surface.

Have you changed your training regime? Do you incorporate fartlek, hill training or interval training. Changing your routine can make a difference.

Firstly if you have physical issues/injuries go to the yoga classes. I wouldn't recommend doing any home versions until you know how to correctly hold the poses.
