This really breaks my heart. I'm sorry you've got this kind of pain, especially during a time in your life that is supposed to be some of your best years. The only advice I can offer you is that if you're really hurting, maybe it would be best to take it easy on the exercises (swimming and water aerobics is very gentle, I…

^ This !

Have you felt like this before? Whenever this happens to me I switch up my routine, don't eat, and wait for my system to balance out. You've probably got something funky going on either mentally or physically but unless you see a doctor it'll be hard to tell between the two. So just don't eat if you don't feel hungry, or…

^^^^^^^^^^ I have the worst time trying to figure out what to do with my phone when I go for a run.

For anyone in recovery who is worried about reading for fear of being triggered, don't be. It is hard to get through. You might cry - I did :') - but this is really beautiful. God. It must have taken him a huge amount of courage to write something so self-aware and personal. For readers who have no experience with an ED,…

Muscling my way through the (sometimes flowery) complexity of Consider Phlebas, by Iain Banks. Already really loving his ability to world build, authorial jealousy aside.

SW - 140 CW - 120 GW - 110, then back up to 120, but in muscle this time. >:D

Oh, boy. Well it would certainly save me a lot of grief. :) Thank you, I'll give the whole prep and chill a try.

Well.. I've never really had a gym crush. I don't pay too much attention to other people when I go to a gym, I just stretch it out, do my work, and check out. Then again, I've never been to a privately owned/town gym, it's always been like Planet Fitness or some big corporate digs. But I HAVE had a crush! And I'll tell you…

Totally add me if you want support, but dust the junk out of your pantry and shelves, alright? It's so much easier to avoid eating "danger foods" (for me, chocolate chip pancakes, so I have neither mix nor chips in the house) if they're not around to be eaten. :)

This sounds super awesome. :) Bumpin'.

:D Sounds like a great surprise to have, happy for you !

A really good mindset.

:D Absolutely feel free to add me; I'll try to hold you accountable but I will never, ever judge you for mistakes/slip-ups. Without them, you would lack humanity, and I'm more interested in seeing you succeed than putting you down for failings.

Well, danger's in her name! I would say that you should probably use ankle/wrist weights (I hope that was what you were referring to???) for machine work, and definitely log in your weight + the weights you're using because your body still has to move that and, as far as the machine is concerned, it's part of your weight…

:D Fabulous progress, be proud !

Hate to break it to you, but the whole 'special snowflake' idiom has been around for some years. Maybe you should watch Fight Club. ETA: This is a great thread and I'm coming back to read this whenever my inner entitled American corner-cutter wants me to think differently about physics.

To be totally honest I think I'm more of an ambivert than the two given, since being with people isn't particularly draining to me and I enjoy large groups and crowds (the feeling of anonymity is best) but appreciate and cherish the time I have to myself.

This right here! I'm a stress baker, and personally, I never go out and buy something sweet that I can just bake myself. That way, you get the exercise of having to make what you eat, and more intimate knowledge of what you're eating.

Well and truly radical, thank you SO much for posting. :D Def feel proud, that is an awesome accomplishment.

Genderbent Castiel. That GISHWHES is coinciding with Halloween this year is just going to make it all the more enjoyable. :]

Can I just say first of all that the Dalek really pulled me into posting here. So glad there are Whovians on MFP. I'm Angela, I'm 18 and actually pretty shocked at how small the under-20 crowd is, but not so worried about it. I weighed about 140 a couple months ago, lost 20 of that, and am now looking to lose another 10…

Definitely a big one, unless you're into dressing vintage or retro. A boost in energy could contribute as well- people tend to pay attention to how young you act, not how young you look.

Tbqh, I'm a bit of a desert creature too. I try to drink water when I'm eating and during/after I work out because those are the times I feel most thirsty. That ~averages to about 6 cups a day.

x100 But seriously, a nice smile.

I'm a little worried about the fact that a discussion like this is in the "chit-chat" forum, considering how heavy the topic could end up being for some people, but I'm in total agreement. Body modification, even "in the extreme" (branding, subdermal implants, etc) is almost as old as humanity itself. Plus, I'm pretty sure…
