  • Feel free to add me. I've been vegetarian/mostly vegan for a year and just went totally vegan on the 1st.
  • That's from the past few days. Not just today. Lmao
  • I downloaded the Couch 2 5K app (C25K in the app store). It is really helping me! Good luck!
  • Here's the thing, if he really truly was in love with you, and he wanted to marry you, your weight would NEVER be a reason to avoid it. It honestly sounds to me like he's a jerk. Without knowing your relationship, I can't really tell you what you should do either, I will say though, my husband met me when I was around…
  • I'm not cutting out all sugar, just processed sugar. I can still have natural sugar. :) I could probably add a little to each meal, I just wonder how necessary it is. I don't want to inhibit weight loss, or muscle gain, but I don't want to eat when I'm not hungry either soooo....If it's necessary I'll just add a little to…
  • My calorie goal is set at a little over 1500 per day and I have only been getting in around 1000 unless I add a snack in the evening.
  • I am fairly certain I get plenty of Micro. I take a whole food multi-vitamin, and I eat quite a few vegetables per day. The only Macro that I can really see I may not be getting "adequate" amounts of would be carbohydrates because I don't eat bread or processed foods. I still eat complex carbs from whole foods but I don't…
  • I'm 23. Feel free to add me too!
  • Using your voice does make a difference. You may have been the first person to ever bring that to the store owners attention. What you said will stay in her head and even if she doesn't get rid of those mannequins I guarantee you impacted her thinking somehow. The image that society and the media is sending to young men…
  • I am worried about saggy skin too but I'd much rather have the saggy skin than to feel the way I feel now. So far I am down 33 lbs and I am starting to notice a little bit of excess skin. I just try to do full body workouts, I do planks every day too. I really don't know if it's possible to completely avoid excess skin…
  • Thank you for the advice! I ended up going with a pair of Brooks Ravenna 4. I tried on others but those felt the best. I wore them on the treadmill yesterday and they felt great but today I ran on the road and my feet were killing before I was halfway through. Could just be because I usually run on the treadmill though.
  • This is an old board buuut, in case anyone is lurking, Hello from Wauseon :)
  • I just finished Week 1 day 2 today. I let myself become WAY too out of shape and it takes everything in me to force myself to finish.
  • I hate hearing that other people have to go through the same crap that I do. PCOS sucks so much! I have honestly tried almost every diet I have ever heard of and basically, I would lose weight then gain it back in a couple of months. I had a late miscarriage in February and ever since I have been busting my butt exercising…
  • Today was the first time I got through Day 1. It was my third try. I am only 23 but I am 264lbs and I thought I was going to die. I walked 2.7-3.5 depending on how crazy my heart was being and "ran" at 4-4.5. I am definitely not very fast but I got through it and that makes me happy. Good luck! You can do it!
  • Don't give up! You CAN do this. I know that sometimes we are our own worst enemy and we are almost always our own worst critic. Just remember that a couple of bad days CANNOT define you! If you feel really bad, eat 100 calories under your goal for a week to make up some of what you messed up. Obviously it won't completely…
  • Ehh. I basically use it to make sure I don't go too far under or over. Some days I eat something that I am just sure won't be TOO many calories and when I track it I almost cry. Then other days I literally have to force myself to eat the rest of my calories, or at least get close to them. The latter are usually the days I…
  • Oh my, YES. Last summer I did C25K and made it to week 3 before giving up. The other day I tried Day 1 again and only made it 10 minutes in. Granted, I had just done zumba, BUT still, it didn't feel good! Since I know my own limitations, my new plan is to do C25K every other day, but instead of just doing each day once I…
  • I downloaded it last week but haven't used it yet. I might try it out tomorrow. My username is apparently just my name. lol JackilynBrown
  • Our stories are kind of similar. I am 23, my husband is 34, and we ttc for 2 and a half years before going to a fertility specialist and getting pregnant with our son (we used provera+clomid+ovidrel). I went into early labor and our little guy didn't make it (2.7.13). I also have PCOS and I am Insulin Resistant. We have…
  • I envy all of your dedication! I was completely vegan for 5 months last year and was bullied into going back to eating meat by a doctor of mine. I have since dropped the doctor and am working on weaning off of animal products again. How awesome that some of you have been eating like this for so long!
  • Good luck with getting into shape!
  • I'm 23. Actually down 26 lbs since February 16th but I just started using MFP again a couple weeks ago so it doesn't show all of my weight loss. I am using Couch to 5K to get ready for the 5K on July 14th that is being held for Domestic Violence, in memory of my cousins who were murdered this past July. I am really excited…
  • I can't really choose a most embarrassing moment because I feel like every moment is embarrassing. I feel like the worst times were probably in high school because teenagers can be such jerks. I was called "the fat cheerleader" when anyone referred to me. That was extremely hurtful and I ended up only cheering two seasons…
  • Usually Malibu Pineapple but I don't want the calories so now I drink Skinny Girl Pina Colada. 33 calories per serving and it tastes SO good :)
  • I'm sorry that happened to you. I definitely understand that look and it is heartbreaking and so discouraging. Good luck in your weight loss. If you need a friend, message me.
