How many use MFP to ensure they get enough calories?

vs. going over. If I don't track calories, I end up between 1400-1600 cal / day. My target is 1,920 and that is a 25% deficit (I know, very aggressive). Tracking them with MFP makes me aware of how much MORE I need to eat to hit my target. Never thought I would have to do that, but left to my own devices, I would not eat enough.
Just curious how many on here do the same. Reading the fora, it seems like more than I would expect.

Ehh. I basically use it to make sure I don't go too far under or over. Some days I eat something that I am just sure won't be TOO many calories and when I track it I almost cry. Then other days I literally have to force myself to eat the rest of my calories, or at least get close to them. The latter are usually the days I eat relatively healthy foods. When I am making good food choices I definitely need MFP to remind me to eat more calories. It seems counterproductive to me most of the time because we're hardwired to believe less food is better.0
