  • Large FRAME- what exactly is that? I know that there is a formula (certain measurements, etc..) to determine if you really do have a large frame or big boned, etc... How do you know. In my mind I have a large frame. I am 5'7" and have broad shoulders, wide rib cage, thunder thighs, and huge (ugly) hands and feet. ha ha,…
  • Thanks for the encouragement.... I am not going to worry about the days when I go over a little. The during (while eating) it never seems like a big deal, but after I always beat myself up :) Those that mention that I may need to eat more.. I tried all the math stuff finding out my TDE (just can not remember acronnym rignt…
  • Not a big deal for 2 days, but I have to get it under control. I have 20 - 25 more lbs to loose. UGG... I also need to get my butt off of the couch and exercise. I want to hit the gym, but not going to happen at this time in my life (no money, no one to watch the kid).....so I will have to settle for my DVD and running (at…
  • This post is funny to me, because just 25 minutes ago I said the same thing. Really why even put the calories unpopped on the box. I do not think that anyone will eat the stuff unpopped. And does the caloric value change when you pop the stuff? I am just going to have to give up and buy the 100 calorie small bags. I…
  • I have celiac disease...and to answer your question the best answer is yes and no. Some items that may appear to be GF may not have any gluten in them, but could be processed in a factory where gluten is processed. This contributes to cross contamination. To be labled Gluten Free it must be certified and have no cross…
  • I read the information in Road May 2.0 posted by Dan ...and my espimated TDEE is 2020. Take that and subtract 20 - 30 % (I will do 25% as starting point)= which gives me 1515 calories. So I am going to try to up my calories to 1400 to 1500 range. To see how this will work out. I have also upped my cardio. The weight…
  • I have been Gluten-Free (ok for the most part) for a year now. Only because I have Celiac disease and it is unhealthy and harmful to my body if I eat it. It is one of the most difficult things I have had to do. I have to be very careful. Good Luck in your Gluten-Free endeavor! Have a slice of "real" pizza for me
  • Thanks!!! Now to find a gym that I am comfortable with and that has someone there to help me with my fitness goals? Do you all go to a gym or lift at home (have weight bench)? Just curious. I know I need the gym to begin with as I have ZERO clue where to start. Free weights or machines (they tend to put females on the…
  • I have signed up!!! It will be my first race in over 6 years. Thankfully it is a ''fun'' run. The race is Satuarday. I will do my best to update when done.
  • I make these a lot, I also make the ''choclate chip cookie dough" using chick peas...they are yummy.
  • Thanks. I have been fitted before at StrictlyRunning, but it is just not that close to me so I have to travel to get there. I know that I have a pretty high arch, need a cushioning shoe....but do not remember the rest (it has been approximately 5 years since I ran my last race). I will take your advice and get fitted…
  • I have never posted and just started MFP last week. I am 5'7'' and NEED motivation! I was extremely active and exercised a lot for most of my adult life (I was a runner and ran 6 miles a day), but 3 years ago I had a baby. Being a mom has been overwhelming for me and I have gained a lot of weight. I am not a novice to…
