I remember seeing a lot of posts last year about Ramadan, so maybe you can do a search and get some useful information from those. I have also seen a few other threads recently, here is a link to one http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/623295-for-mfpers-fasting-in-ramadan-2012?hl=fast+muslim+ramadan#posts-9381638 Good…

As far as carbs and sodium, I find that it is more about the combination of foods I eat in a day that make me go over 1 or the other. I am less worried about carbs unless I am crazy over. I try to stay 1500-2300 for sodium because I have a family history of early onset heart disease. If I'm having cereal for breakfast and…

I don't think it's strange but everyone (including people that like pickles) seem to think it is. I refuse to have a grilled cheese or tomato soup without sweet pickles. Even if I'm just having soup, there has to be pickle with every bite.

:drinker: Black eye and broken finger - same night. No idea how and 17 years later not one friend has filled me in on the details.

Love this post!

I haven't seen it, but I graduated in '91. Must be the "perfect" age range to enjoy it because all of my fb friends that have seen it liked it. They mostly range from '88-'91.

Exercise: I started MFP in November 2010, so it's been just over a year and a half. When I started, I was only walking. After a couple of months, I added Zumba to my walking. At 6 months I started running. I have dabbled in strength training, but I plan on changing that. This week I am starting Stronglifts 5x5. Diet: Since…

I had the same thing happen, but in the opposite direction. I thought I was 5'4" and the last time I went to the doctor they said I was 5'6". I made my husband check when I got home, and I was indeed 2" taller than I thought.

:drinker: I thought my night was bad! I only have 4 and they aren't teenagers.

Shaving my legs is no longer an aerobic activity

No creepy friend requests here either. Now off to clean coffee off of the couch.

I have high hopes for the squash chips. I'll post the verdict after I make them.

I love kale chips! I'm going to try squash chips next.

I need more of these people on my friends list.

I usually accept any friend request and I never used to delete anyone. Recently I have started deleting anyone that goes inactive for longer than a few weeks (unless it's vacation, etc.). I don't usually send out many friend requests, but I tend to get a lot from new people to mfp, and unfortunately quite a few of these…

The exercise that "adds" calories back also adds to you other macros since they are based on % of calories (except sodium)

I'm 5'6" and 151. I recently broke a 2-3 month plateau by upping my calories. I am set to 1640 and have started to see the scale move consistently over the last few weeks. I am getting ready to add lifting back into the mix, so I'll be reassessing, and surely adding more calories. When I first upped my calories, I did see…

Sounds good to me too! The long, healthy, active lives of my family would have to top any list.

I do. I have always had more male friends than female in real life, but my friends list on mfp is opposite. My husband has always known this, he is secure and knows I'm around for the long haul.

I wrote 10 replies to this thread and erased them all. I applaud ALL parents taking care of their children. Whether you are a sahm, sahd, parent with joint custody, working (outside the home) parent, military parent, or any combination of these. As long as you love your children and are doing the best by them that you can,…

My food porn is on the internet. I can't get enough of Pinterest or Food Gawker.

I have been running since May of last year. My pace averages 9-10:00 minutes per mile depending on so many things (weather, long or short run, etc.). Like many others, I have the hardest time starting out, but sometimes for me that feeling lasts into miles 2 and 3. Once I am able to pass that point, I can go as long as my…
