so i found this really good recipe, i have cooked it a million times. it is not my own. i just really would love to share it with you all.
http://smittenkitchen.com/2010/03/baked-kale-chips/
one cup or so, has 43 calories, 7 carbs, and 3 grams of fiber!
they are super filling as well, and you can season them any way you like! i wonder if you can do this with other kinds of vegetables... anybody have ideas? anybody ever make them? how do you season them? i season mine with garlic powder and olive oil sometimes red pepper flakes

On the squash chips, slice very thin (recommend a mandoline here) or they won't crisp up (but will still be delish!) I'll have to try the Kale chips! That sounds very yummy!0

I tried making Kale chips once. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but they came out more like kale ashes than anything. Thanks for the link. I may give it another try.0

I looooooove kale chips. I didn't look at your recipe, but I never even use oil anymore, just sprinkle with salt, pepper, onion and garlic powders, and nutritional yeast. Yuuuum.0

I would guess they baked too hot or for too long. They don't take much time, I think maybe 20ish minutes.0 -

season them with nutritional yeast! if you've never had it before it sounds super weird, but its a great "seasoning" (sprinkle on kale chips, popcorn, salads..etc) and its reaaaaaallllyy suppppper duuuuppper good for you.0 -

Parmesan zucchini chips are delish too :-)0 -
for a cheesy flavor, sprinkle with nutritional yeast (like Red Star)~0

what is a "bump"?0 -
It's pushing a thread up to the top again so it doesn't get "lost."
I will try your recipe. It sounds very tasty!0 -
thanks! i hate when my threads get lost. i feel forgotten xD LOL can someone tell me what a "BUMP" is?0
-
A bump also adds a topic to "My Topics" at the top of the page, and makes it easy to find stuff you're interested in later. You'll also sometimes see someone say "Tagged for later", means the same thing.0

I can't wait to try these.0

Toppings... I have made these MANY times... top with a little red pepper flakes and feta cheese... a VERY little.... else they get soggy.... I suppose you could use good quality Parmagiano Reggiano, too .:)0

It is usually readily available in the produce section of your grocery store....near other leafy vegetables like mustard greens and escarole :-)0
