  • Hi there, love the post and can relate! My 3 boys are 13, almost 8, almost 14 months. I gained 100lbs in my first pregnancy and never lost it. Luckily was able to lose what I put on in my second 2 pregnancies, but haven't lost my original 100. I always wanted to look the way I did before my babies, but recently have been…
  • Hi there :) Gained 100lbs in my first pregnancy and never lost it (he's 13 now..). Youngest son just turned one and something clicked recently that I wanted to be healthy not just look a certain way. Nor do I want this little guy to turn 13 one day and me still be at this unhealthy weight. I have about 90lbs to lose and…
  • Hi there, I also need to lose about a 100lbs. I am a 32 year old mother of 3 boys (13 months, 7, and 13). We can do this together :)
  • I've had 2 different personal trainers, fitness consultant, doctor, dietitian, and diabetes specialist tell me this exact thing. I agree with this post completely. I do feel better, have better weight loss results and more energy when I have breakfast in tje morning.. Doesn't have to be a big breakfast, but has to be…
  • One of my favorites too lol..dolly parton cracks me up. Oh, and don't sweat the negative people on here. You're real and I appreciate that, anyone who doesn't should keep their comments to themselves, we are here for support, love, accountability, to relate and even have a laugh. Thanks for your openness :)
  • Hallelujah.. Cadbery creme egg...I hear ya lol. I have asked myself many times "is this the last cadbery egg ever?".. No, and they will not be extinct by next year lol. Love the post. And I have a feeling a lot of us here have negative body images, sort of comes with the territory of being unhappy with the way we look and…
  • Hilarious!! "Laughing through tears is my favorite emotion" - steel magnolias. I went from one post to the next and had a laugh....and it's funny because it's true. Now I have a new way to describe myself putting on my old jeans! I also have an array of leggings..sheesh. When you can wear something to scrub your toilet and…

  • I love accountability and the support I have found here. You can feel free to add me and I will offer any support I can :)
  • Success motivates me! My weekly losses and overcoming the daily challenges. I also think of all the ways I going to feel healthier and more confident when I'm in shape..not to mention the negative side of being overweight. I no longer want to feel so self conscious, I don't enjoy shopping and don't have the fitness I had…
  • I agree! I think there is a HUGE aspect to losing weight that is mental/emotional, and that might be even more important than the physical part. For me it was figuring out emotionally/mentally why I was over weight or allowing myself to be or keeping myself that way. I explored that and now getting healthy has been easier.…
  • Hi :) I'm a 31 year old mother of 3 boys (12,7, 5 months), 5'5" and here to lose 85-90lbs. Love having accountability!! I've lost 8lbs since joining mfp and so far so good. Anyone on this post can feel free to add me. Sometimes it helps to know someone is checking your progress/presence! I try to not disappoint my friends…
  • "Our greatest glory is not in never failing but in rising up every time we fail" Never give up!
  • I would agree. I love zumba but I think it would be really hard for mfp to accurately calculate calories burned since the intensity can change so much. A heart rate monitor would calculate exactly what you were accomplishing. I know zumba is usually a pretty intense cardio work out. I do think that mfp has over estimated…
  • Sorry you are feeling like this, I know how hurtful and confusing this can be. I think this is a pretty deep topic with so many different angles. I am currently speaking with a counselor regarding a similar situation in my own life. My first reaction is always "shallow!", however that is not always the case. I have been…
  • You're probably right about that benebabe :)
  • Thanks for the friend requests and encouraging words! Nice to see such support going around. I am just starting out myself but good luck to everyone on this journey and great job to everyone who has had success already! It's motivating to see progress and good to have accountability too :)
