Thank you guys! I'm going with the Ripped in 30! :)

I don't know how normal it is as I have no knowledge or education in the field of nutrition, but I get like that too - especially lately!!! I ate a pretty big dinner with lots of protein, fats and just a little bit of carbs and two hours later I'm ravenous again ... :grumble: I'm not really looking to lose weight, so…
-
Edit: Scratch that ... too much stuff that sounded harsh. Whether I'm low or high carb ... each day is different for me.

The same thing here! I've done 16 days so far (with about 3 breaks) and have actually gained half an inch on one leg. However, I lost an inch off my bust after just a week on 30DS. I am also pear-shaped like the poster above, so I naturally lose weight from top to bottom, which sucks :grumble: but can't do anything about…
-
I don't understand why some of the posters here are getting so upset about the possibility of someone commenting on their diaries. If it's such a sore spot, why don't you make your food diary private then? That is a sure fire way to not get any comments. Also, I don't have any friends - at least not that I noticed - that…

I absolutely LOVE this!

Look up Zuzana Light :) That's kinda sorta what I mean (minus the fake chest).
-
What a smart cookie you are! Since you know that the problem lies in our western society's attitude towards women, why don't you fight against that? Why are you trying to conform to norms that you yourself KNOW are unrealistic/evil and disagree with them? And give me a break about all asians being skinny. They're…

Hello everyone. I'm reading the book right now and find it very interesting and informative. I'm not sure when or even whether I will do the programme since I don't have a gym membership ... but I sure want to know more about fat loss and gaining strength because that is what I WANT and NEED. I am fast approaching 30 with…
-
I'm actually interested in that myself. I'm on day 8 of 30 DS and I also run three times a week ... and walk quite a bit. I also have a mild shin pain ... well ... it's actually quite bothersome because I've never had it before and it just irks me. I don't want to aggravate it and I'm actually considering replacing all the…

nsblue -- WOW! You are amazing! Congratulations on such an awe-inspiring achievement!

Well, I'm a mom ... and whether or not I'm 'hot' is highly subjective  According to my DH, I'm smokin' I am fast approaching 30 and I want to be in the best shape of my life when I get there. I'm also planning on having another little munchkin in the next 2 years, which is another reason to be fit and…

You look great!!! Well done to you! And honestly, I don't think you should be losing any more weight ... you look absolutely perfect on photo #2! You might look a bit too thin if you go down any further. Now you look fit and healthy.

Thank you! I just did my last day of week 3 tonight with a new app - the free c25k app - and I can't say it was 'easy', but it definitely wasn't hard! I'm actually very surprised how fast I'm improving! I actually did an extra 2.5 minute run after the program was done  ... But my right knee started hurting again…

My diet is actually rather alright these days ... I just have to find something else to eat for breakfast - I have a major sweet tooth in the mornings - I can never eat something that is not sweet. :D To clarify, most of this fat has been accumulated during my pregnancy and subsequently when I was breastfeeding (in order…

Hey everyone! Thank you for the advice! I already do a little strength training daily with Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred, but I guess I should do some stand-alone heavier weight-lifting on the side! I have a barbell weight set ... just no dumbbells :( When I do 30 DS, I use the 1.25kg (shoulders) and 2.5kg (biceps) weight…
-
I'm not a professional nor do I have any education in this field, but just using my common sense, I'd agree with your former trainer. Somebody your age is just somebody your age, but only you are you and to me there's absolutely no point of doing cardio if you don't get seriously winded (well, at least when you're still on…

I did 3rd week day 2 yesterday and unfortunately I couldn't keep up with the program due to my Runkeeper app freezing up on me. So instead, I decided to just run/walk however I feel necessary. My longest run was actually whole 6 minutes! I was a bit shocked after I checked out the time ... then I ran 3 minutes twice and…

Wow! Great job!

I can't give up chocolate, it's just impossible for me ... it's actually my 'medicine' on certain days of the month  It prevents me from biting off heads of random poor souls that might have, perhaps, looked at me weird  I'm really not giving up anything ... just adding lots of exercise and trying to eat…
-
That is amazing! You did it! You must fee great! I can't wait to get to that point! High-five!
-
Oh, wow, that text is amazing ... it moved me to tears. I remember seeing a few heavier runners out there in the hills and I marveled at how much they were pushing themselves! At some point I thought to myself: "Wow, I would probably pass out at this point." Looking at a guy who sweated so profusely his entire attire was…
-
I did start week three yesterday and it was actually easier than I expected ... not easy though :D I'm running again tomorrow, if the weather allows ...
-
I'm starting week 3 tomorrow ... a little scared I won't make it as week 2 was challenging enough for me :)
-
Thanks for the suggestions! I added some reverse crunches and lunges to the circuit :) I might do jumping jacks instead of the high knees every other time. So, for example: 1. Push-ups, 2. High knees, 3. Chair dips, 4. Jumping jacks :D
-
Well, I just did the circuit and it was nice - broke a sweat, got my heart rate up, but it wasn't too hard ... I'd up the high-knees to 20 as 10 are just 5 per each leg and it goes by too fast. I had to go down with the push-ups to only 10 as my arms are like spaghetti ... just bad. It was a nice addition to my 3 hour walk…

I'm so glad I found out about this! I just found the Level one on youtube and it looks great!
-
Bumpity bump bump :D
-
I vote for outside as well :D Until the snow and ice come ... then I might invest into a gym membership. Or just do HIIT at home.
-
Pistol squats!!! Can't do a single one :D
