  • and scrolling down, June 20th here...hey, at least we have June covered! :)
  • When I lost nearly 75 pounds, I flung my hand one day and my wedding rings flew across the room. I have had to size down in all my clothing, including shoes. I wear so many things differently and I look at so many other things differently. New obstacles and lots of fun getting there. Now at a total loss so far or nearly…
  • My set pattern is basically this, AM's Mon-Fri do 20-30 minutes of treadmill, Mon and Wed aerobics class at the YMCA, Tues and Thursday 45 minutes on the treadmill and Friday either go dancing, do Wii Zumba at home or a video at home. I have a sedentary lifestyle from my job, and a very active/crazy family. Always…
  • Yeah, but it is totally one thing to get lost in life and to "accidentally" not follow through and another to just a be *kitten* and say something that you completely do not mean. Folks these days are WAY too worried about who they are moushing up to with their fake kindness and general suck up routine.
  • I am in a crazy position that I am accused of being one of "those" frequently. We have lots of outside meetings at our office, for which I have to provide lunches and snacks routinely. At a "generalized" request, I provided more healthy alternatives to the usual fare. At the same time I was in my process of losing a large…
  • Ecstatically married to my best friend :) He keeps me true to myself and challenges me daily to push myself better!!
  • I agree, I love MFP! I log on multiple times a day to update my information and to read the different forum conversations. It keeps me motivated and true to myself with my diet and exercise. When I go to eat something I shouldn't, I ask myself if I want to see it in my food diary. If not, I don't eat it. LOL, stupid I…
  • DO NOT SCOLD YOURSELF FOR CELEBRATING!!!!! I celebrate every pound that drains off my fat butt! You have made an amazing start to a long journey. I am nearly two years into what resulted today (from the scale) a total loss of 117 pounds....I am freaking ecstatic!! I am still 199 pounds, people still call me fat, and I…
  • When I met my husband, I was at my heaviest ever. He loved and accepted me. My point is, don't want to be with someone because they "accept" who you are physically - find someone who can capture your interest mentally, make a friendship with them and grow it from there. Do things socially, not just at a club. Your best…
  • Not so much WHAT I eat, but how much I eat. That is what really changed.
  • I puree the veggies into the food, my husband does not notice it most of the time.
  • In the 100+ that I have lost, I went from a DDD to a full D....my husband (awesome man that he is) tells me that I am sexy no matter what I loose in my breasts. Had a cancer scare two years ago and we were both glad I got to keep what I do have. As I continue to lose, I notice the tissue in my breasts continue to decline…
  • Telephone, Lady Gaga.....was the most memorable music video on while I was on the treadmill.....that chick is SOOO weird.
  • You are simply amazing! Thank you for inspiring me today, needed it!! Good luck on the rest of your journey, with your drive you will definitely get there!!
  • Rock on you!!! Don't give up, you are doing a fabulous job! You just start planning your next milestone and it will be time to post it before you know it.
  • Way to go!! I am following your path! Congrats on your great health and blessings to your continued success!
  • I was on my way to work when the first plane hit. That day, the entire office stayed close to the phone and the television reliving the horrification that was 9/11. My heart cries when I remember the tragic loss to all the families involved. I lost friends and co-workers, I will never forget this monumental time.
  • Looks like a plan to me! LOL!!
  • In all, I have lost 126, and have another 51 to go to meet my ideal goal weight...I can do it and so can you! It will take time, but with the time it takes - it will be more permanant. I had to learn how to eat again....more healthy and not junk. I have setbacks and get discouraged, but the ultimate goals keeps me going.
  • I love this site, such support and great ideas. To me, just that alone is a HUGE help to make me more healthy :)
  • For lunch today, I pan grilled chicken breasts, onion and red pepper. Once the chicken was cooked, I added drained/rinsed black beans and a handful of grated cheese, rolled this mixture in whole wheat tortilla shells and grilled on the griddle just long enough to brown the shell and melt the cheese. Served with salsa and…
  • One that I tried recently - crush pork skins to a powder and add any flavor of seasoning to the mix. Put a tablespoon of olive oil in a zip lock bag and put your chicken breasts in to coat them. Roll them in the powder mix. Place them in a glass cooking pan and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Super yummy!!!
  • I log religiously, I have found it is the most useful way to keeping me honest about my intake and exercise. I want to "beat" myself each day. I have recommended the site to others, but I really don't know anyone on here.
  • Welcome!! I would bet that most people are on here for a safe and healthy journey to better living. I have been on here for a few weeks and love it. The wonderful sharing and kindness from others is great. You have a question, they are quick to help you out, even if it is just motivation that you need!! Good luck on your…
  • Five dogs in our household. Two are chihuahua / daschund angels - have had them for nearly 12 years. Two Basset Hounds, one red/white and the other black/white. They howl at anything....a lot. Then I have one....God only knows what all she has in her. All together, they made my husband and I extremely happy. Spoiled beyond…
  • Also, don't forget that when you eat under your recommended calorie intake - you could be putting your body into starvation mode and during your Aunt's visit - your body is actually needing more nutrients than less. Increase your iron intake and protein and you will probably see a better result during the visit. Also, it…
  • bathroom treadmill for 15 minutes shower
  • I will start with the fact that I have had the gastric sleeve procedure. I have never been lazy, but I do have a sedentary job and by the end of my crazy day, it is easier to justify not exercising than it is to force myself to exercise. At the end of the week, I would have maybe gotten in an hour of cardiac exercise all…
