Building muscle mass and lowering body fat % is two separate things and can not be done simultaneously. Building muscle mass is done by eating at TDEE plus additional calories (I do an additional 250 calories). Lowering body fat is done be eating at a deficit of your TDEE, anywhere between 5-20%. When losing weight, you…

Thanks ladies! I feel like I should be lifting more, but I am making improvements and that is what counts. @tammymusic1, I added you as a friend!

*birds chirping* So are my results that bad? :blushing:

I did JM's Body Revolution; completed it in March. Personally I would not do both programs at the same time. Your body needs time to rest and recover. Your body makes more changes during recovery time then during the actual workout.

I go to NYSC and pay $69 a month. However, my medical insurance reimburses me $200 every 6 months if I show proof if attendance, so I am really paying $35 a month. However it has no pool. And you need to pay I think $10 per workout to workout at another NYSC. However, I no longer have that medical insurance and the new one…

Love the show, and loved the video, and loved you! I wish you the best of luck and hope you get picked! I can totally relate with so many of your statements. From your statement of putting everyone first, to your statement of feeling "less than" because of your weight. But I also see a strong intelligent and beautiful…

Today is a day off for me, but tomorrow I do Stage 1 Workout 5A. If anyone wants to add me as a friend, feel free!

Let me add onto my post....you want to use the gym because your goal is going to be to keep lifting heavier. It will cost a pretty penny to equip yourself at home with everything you need.

I started NROLFW on 4/29 and absolutely love it! I've already seen some great definition. Previously my exercise routine was 3 days of cardio and 3 days of DVDs at home (Most Jillian MIchael DVDs) using 6#, 8#, & 10# dumbbells. The first 16 workouts, which should take you 6 weeks to complete, consist of deadlifts, dumbell…

I don't post much but had to reply to you. Seriously, you sound exactly like me! I swear it's scary! I've lost 130 pounds on WW. Last year I had a lot of different issues going on personally and wounded gaining 30 pounds back. Now that I am back at goal I am noticing I am not happy with my definition so just last night I…

I do not wish any steps in my workout to be counted towards my daily steps. So I will take the fitbit off when working out. Thank you! Should I turn the fitbot off when working out? I don;t even know how to turn it off, lol.

Saving, thanks!

Are you using it as a meal replacement? I find that using shakes as a meal replacement does not work well for me. They are rarely filling or satisfying on their own. If you are not sure what to eat, take a look at the food pyramid and use that as your guide.

If you have the calories for it, eat. And even if I didn't have the calories for it, if my tummy was talking I would grab a piece of fruit and large glass of water. As I working mom I typically don't begin my workout until 7-7:30; sometimes later. I eat dinner first with the family, then wait 40-45 minutes before working…
