I am 5'3 and have 23.5 inch thighs. I am strong and muscular and think it is ridiculous to compare your body composition to anyone else's. Run your own race, follow your own program, and love your own body, because it is functioning and healthy and it's the only one you're going to get.

6 weeks 4 lbs. 1.5lbs./week That's my goal and I'm reaching it. Slow and steady is my indicator that it's fat loss...that and my emerging cut lines :)

^^This. "Basically you need to know why you do what you do to be able to change..." It's probably not the evil food. It's probably you. I wish that it were so easy as to just be the substance, whether it be food, or drugs, or sex, or working, or working out, or WHATEVER, but life isn't that black and white. Look deep. Good…

I can't believe this is actually still going on...

OP: If you google: bodybuilding on a budget, there are tons and tons of articles, videos, and blogs dedicated to the very thing you are struggling with. Best of luck finding the balance between budgeting and building :)

I wonder if it could also be due to hormonal changes that occurs during weight loss...

The OP said she's giving it up, so let's give her a BIG HAND for coming back down to the planet with us!! Woooooo Hoooo! Horray for health!

I was kind of joking. But really, not eating for 20 days IS sort of...

OP has stopped publicly responding and has sent private messages instead to stop the backlash of negative feedback. This site isn't Pro-ana is it?

Mr. Boroughs was not a nutritionist, or a doctor and wrote that in the 40's... In my roller coaster ride to optimum health I tried this a couple of times--did it lead to lasting weight loss and supreme health? No, it lead to me sh*tting my pants (literally). Yeah, let's do THAT!

No one is calling you dumb, but maybe you're not using your best judgement. Water fasting is EXTREME, dude. Have you ever done a juice cleanse? That's calories and that is really hard! Please be careful. Your potassium levels can become so low, that you can actually die. Like, die-die, not: I'm so hungry I could die. We…

Probably to HELP you avoid a lot of discomfort... I think the most of us are here for health and a water fast isn't really that healthy... best of luck to you, but really, slow and steady wins the race. Part of gaining health or losing weight is about creating sustainable habits. Water fasting, unless prescribed by your…

Hi! I am Terril, currently living in Oman. I like to constantly challenge myself and lift heavy. Lately, I've been focusing on cutting while maintaining strength. The best compliment is when my husband, who I work with and see nearly 24 hours a day, stops and says, "you're looking gooood these days!" The best feeling comes…

^^This! I get a total puffy face when I do any of the things above and have regular face upon waking when I don't. Try drinking tons of water, avoiding too much sodium/alcohol, and getting your zz's first and see if that stops the bloat...(I bet it does)

I become the craziest person on Earth, and it just get's worse as I get older. I yell at my husband for no reason, poor guy, and end up a crying puddle on the floor, which OBVIOUSLY is the reason I end up in the kitchen making absurd amounts grilled cheese sandwiches and washing them down with a gallon of red wine... Oh,…

I lived in Japan and lost weight there. Skip the rice, go for the protein and veg. DON'T eat what they eat! Have you seen the way some of the tiny female teachers eat sweets and bread?! Those girls have genetics on their side :) Seriously though, a very good friend of mine just got back from Busan and she lost a ton of…

I would say, first and foremost: meditate. I used to be a slave to how I felt. But feelings are temporal and transient. Meditation really changed my life. It's worth a go. Best of luck.
