  • I've been on MFP for 2 years now...I find that it was the key to my success in losing the weight, and definitely holds me accountable in keeping it off. I love the convenience of it, and honestly would be very lost without it. I think it has reinforced behavior that is now engrained in me, but I love having it as a tool in…
  • I have a Polar FT7, and for the most part I absolutely love it. I do Kung Fu, and after my first workout with it, I never notice when it's there...in fact, have worn it home from class and not realized it until I'm getting ready to hop in the shower, lol. I find it to be prettty accurate. As for reliability, when I first…
  • Never have had a gym membership. Lost all my weight walking and doing TaeBo DVD's at home. After I hit goal, I rewarded myself with Kung Fu...no equipment, just all body resistance 2-3x a week.
  • Hi - I do Kung Fu, and have been active in it for just over a year. Before I lost my weight, I did another year at the same kwoon. I've earned 3 belts so far. Our style is low, strong stances and progressive weapons work. No grappling work, really. My current sifu has broken it up so that once a week we have a contact…
  • HIIT = High Intensity Interval Training...
  • I keep a 16 oz bottle with me all the time...and refill it at least 3x day. I try to have a full bottle with each meal, at least one for every workout, and another 1-2 throughout the day. I average 72-80 ounces a day and don't feel bloaty at all, but it's typically all I drink. If I have a higher sodium day, I try to…
  • I think the Jerky and the Jimmy Dean will both have higher sodium contents, which can cause you to retain water...and overall, a lot of the nutrients just aren't as good as if you get them from unprocessed foods. As for protein, I found that if I eat some nuts, have some greek yogurt as well as my lean meats, I come close…
  • fnsmithatc - rocks a hat like I only wish I could!!
  • @wildcatnyc - totally cute and looks like fun to hang with! :)
  • I've been on MFP over two years, although my counter says it's just under...had a weekend away and didn't log when I first started. But I've lost each pound (and some of them multiple times!) using MFP! In the last 6-8 months, I've tried some different caloric intakes as I've reached maintenance, and so my weight has…
  • Thanks, Mer! Just love you for all the support you've shown along the way - you are the best! And yes, my husband is quite the comedian!
  • For me, 125 to 130 is my range. I'm 5'4" and 125 is smack dab in the middle of a healthy BMI for me and puts me right where I need to be in terms of my bf%. I'm currently at 131 and a size 6 or 8 (depending on the brand and the day). Originally, my goal was anything under 140, but hit that and kept going. I made it to 122,…
  • I'm in, with a cutoff time of 9:00 pm
  • Once upon a time, it was PB, Bologna and Wavy Lays!
  • INCREDIBLE!!! What an amazing transformation! You and your wife are amazing, and should have HUGE biceps from patting yourselves and each other on the back!! Congrats!
  • Victoria's Secret has a yoga boyshort and a yoga bikini...both of which I find really comfortable to workout in. My workouts are martial arts - so I'm in our uniform...so not sure if they pass the pantyline test...but I love them.
  • This is me...and in the buff.
  • I have been taking the One-A-Day Women's Active Metabolism for the past year...has worked well for me. I just switched this week to the Beachbody ActiVit. The one thing it's missing is the Iron...which is where I miss my one a day...but giving it about a week or so to see how my body adjusts to the different mix.
  • I think you would change your settings for maintenance, but otherwise, it's all about the workouts and the fuel for the workouts :)
  • 5'4" - 39 years old, mother of 2. Started MFP in November, 2010. Hit goal in December 2011, then bounced up...was literally like a bungee cord snapping me back to the 130's...LOL! Hit it again in March, and then got lazy...still worked out, but not nearly as disciplined in my food choices, and as expected, it snapped back…
  • Congrats! I hope to be posting a similar NSV this summer!
  • Amazing progress! Way to go!

  • Agree with this 100% - and I also follow mine up with a multivitamin.
  • My entire last year of workout was Tae Bo based...picked up a couple of DVDs at garage sales, and have gradually built my collection to include over 12 of his DVDs now. I love it...in fact, it's what encouraged me to take up Kung Fu as my now standard workout routine!
  • 39-ish  Am in the best shape of my life, and the smallest I can ever remember being! Can keep up with all the 20 somethings in my Kung Fu school...and proud of it! Addicted to exercise (mainly because I'm also addicted to food!) Love seeing all these fit and fabulous people on here! You all look amazing and are…
  • I just started it as well. Unfortunately, I'm having difficulty getting it in every day with my current fitness schedule (both physically and time wise) as well as my work and family schedule. It's crazy, but I'm liking it, and looking forward to the results! Would love to hear your thoughts on it as well!

  • I'm in complete agreement with this! I also NEVER enjoyed a healthy lifestyle, and have yo-yo'ed for about 20 years now. This last year, it actually did click for me. But I approached it as MY lifestyle...not for or by anyone else's rules. I have found a couple of activities that I really LOVE...hiking with my family in…
