You can do it! I came the realization that you did when I was 20 and 5'8" and 190+ lbs. everyone has to start somewhere, its not the easiest journey but MFPis a great place to start. Tracking what I eat, having friends on here to keep me accountable and ready others success and motivation is really helpful in my opinion.…

Yes it's possible and that's how I lost 70 lbs originally but I wasn't happy with the way I looked and I gained weight back easily. Now with steady exercise and having more muscle I look thinner than I ever have and whileIstill count and watch what I eat, I am not afraid to indulge once in a while because I know my muscle…

I would do a small bit of cardio and start strength training to tone up. We do 10-15 min cardio then 45 minutes strength training then anther 10-15 minutes of cardio and I have seen significant improvement in my belly area as well as my whole body!

Eating at a calorie deficit, cardio + lifting heavy and eating mostly clean! You can do it :)

My fiancé was the person who encouraged me to start going to the gym and it has changed my life! He is so supportive and amazing, always tells me how great I look and makes me feel GOOD about myself!

I am kind of the opposite, when I was young, I was fat and didn't really "care". I was shy and had a small group of friends, was lucky enough toneverreally be teased and just kind of didn't care about my looks. Finally I discovered boys and lost a bunch of weight... Now that I'm thinner I still see myself as fat even…

Yes, most of the time. It's important to know how much I actually went over and also seeing it helps to keep me from doing it too often! If I don't have access to a computer for a few days I won't because I can't remember and I don't have a smart phone but when I'm away I try to stay on track.

Awesome, keep it up!

You really have to be committed.... I don't eat perfectly everyday but I stay within my calorie goal every day even on weekends. Before, when I was trying to eat 1200-1300 calories a day I was always slipping up on the weekends and binging on random days. Now I have my daily goal set at 1600 but usually get about 1500 a…

Try eating more whole foods and less processed foods, with whole foods you can eat more volume for less calories generally. Example, two medium apples fill you up a lot more than a serving of chips for the same ~140 calories. Also try eating 6 small meals instead of 3 large meals to avoid getting super hungry. You can add…

Me, I'm getting married May 17, 2014.. I will add you! Any one else feel free to add me, I love being supportive and having supportive friends to keep me on track!

I used to do the same thing. You have to make yourself a routine for the weekend too, even if you allow yourself to have 100-200 extra calories it won't hinder your progress but if you aren't tracking on the weekends you could be ingesting 1000+ extra. As far as drinking, before you go out say "I'm only going to have (1,2…
