Losing versus maintaining 1. 1800 (2400) 2. No, I only eat back calories on double days when needed for energy 3. 60 pounds in 6 months After losing I upped my calories slowly to 3200 and did a bulk cycle, then dropped them to maintain and recomp.

I'm a huge fan of Musclepharm Combat powder currently, but I've tried ON Gold Standard, and numerous others in the past.
-
I've done several 5k's and 10k's, a couple half marathons, a warrior dash and a tough mudder and yet to see anyone puking. Get out there and enjoy yourself, and if you are afraid, wear headphones while you run!

Your progress is right on par, but try to skip the "diet" and work towards something you can maintain long term. If you can eat more food (protein included) and skip a bit of the smoothies, I think your body will thank you in the end.
-
how much protein are you actually getting. almonds are a greater source of fats than they are protein...
-
If you want to actually do this for long term success, skip the juicing and the massive calorie deficits and maintain a 1-2 pound per week loss. It's maintainable and not damaging to your metabolism long term. Your friends that "do less activity and eat less" are likely not doing it the correct way and will rebound…

I prefer the jelly bean diet, but you have to space it out in 7 meals throughout the day. and you can't eat anything after 6 pm for fear of packing on fat overnight, it's real.
-
I'm not sure of your stats, but 3077 calories for a goal is pretty high unless you're shooting for a bulk.
-
I wore a HRM for my entire first round of insanity and Body Beast to establish a baseline of calories burned, but only log them for tracking purposes, not to re-feed the calories burned so the actual amount burned was just for my own information and to keep my pushing hard.
-
I think you could do it with the minimal equipment. There are modifiers for those with a stability ball and dumbells only, but I think to really progress in the program you would benefit from having the curl bar and a bench.

I'm into round 4 and my before and after pics are in my profile.
-
I've done several rounds and don't currently follow the beast meal plan. I use it to calculate how many calories, but at this point I know what I should be eating so their meal plan doesn't necessarily apply.
-
I'm on my 4th round. Feel free to add me!
-
I'm on my 4th round of Body Beast at the moment. I plan to do a max30/Beast hybrid next.
-
Hello- I'm on my 4th round of Beast right now and loving every minute of it. Feel free to add me.

1-2 pounds a week is the goal. Any more than that consistently and you could be sacrificing lean muscle. It's a slow process, but it's still progress.
-
Create a lifestyle that's maintainable. Healthy diet that's well balanced, add exercise, and eat more than 1200 calories!
-
^^^this. I choose to set my calories a little higher than default and then don't eat my calories back unless it's an extremely intense workout or I double up.
-
Okay, I wouldn't freak out. 7 pounds in 14 days is probably a lot of water weight. I would consider upping your calories and work within the range of something you can actually maintain after you get where you want to be. As you build muscle and lose the weight, your body will get more efficient at burning those calories…

Are you new to the journey?
-
If you set your goal at 1200 calories, are you eating back your exercise calories? most normal people who are exercising need more than that base number. Depending on how long you've been at it, you could have stalled out your metabolism.
-
When you're looking to lose the last few pounds, that little bit will be all the difference you need. You can find a thousand contradicting studies online if you want, and that's fine. But I can tell you from personal experience, that when I have a few drinks, it has an effect.
-
Unfortunately the problems with alcohol go beyond the calories in the drink. The alcohol slows down your metabolism.
-
hello! consider it done.
-
Not to my knowledge. If I recall, when my wife was breastfeeding, she added about 400 calories to her default setting from MFP.
-
The problem with alcohol goes beyond the calories in the bottle. It affects your metabolism as well. Those last 10 pounds will likely never come off with the bottle in hand.
-
It's easy enough to do, just takes dedication and time. I choose to set my calorie goal a little higher and not eat back my workout calories. That way it doesn't matter how accurate my burned calorie estimates are, I will still lose weight without killing my metabolism. At your height, depending on how much you're truly…
-
You're not eating enough... unless you're a midget. :)

I did 3 rounds of Insanity. Then tried out T25, Combat, and Asylum before moving onto Body Beast. I'm on round 4 of Beast now and love it. Going to start a Max:30/Beast hybrid next month to get ready for beach weather.

. Are you serious? I'd love to know where you found that little tidbit of info. Your body adjusts to what you're eating and how you exercise and will eventually go stagnant as it reaches a state of "equilibrium" so to speak.
