I have this for breakfast most weekdays - just one regular 250ml cup of coffee with 40grams butter. I add cocoa powder to mine also. I get hungry at around 11 and have a few almonds before my lunch break at 12pm It would never carry me through until dinner. Ghee instead of butter? Ghee is made from butter - it is clarified…

I had a wee stumble off the wagon and I have definitely noticed the difference - I am back into eating primal but it has been like a four day hangover lol - not that BAD but I feel noticeably more tired and grumpy and the cravings came back. Lucky I have been in the zone before and know how good it feels. I just feel so…

I have found I have not had heartburn at all while eating primal until I eat non primal foods that I never ever used to suspect - so nice to be free of it!

Here's today's packed lunch - chicken and bacon salad with cashew and basil pesto, and a side of an orange :-)

I had a burning sensation in my throat after having one type of 85% dark chocolate - was quite strange and unfamiliar... and unpleasant!! So changed brands! It was the Lindt brand...

I am the same as you have just borrowed Primal Blueprint & CookBook from library - cannot wait to read them both!
-
Feel free to add me - I also don't track every day but 3+ days a week I do.

Here's some of my recent meals...

Today's lunch is a garden salad with lemon juice as dressing and pork breakfast sausages. Hitting the spot as I post this!
-
And today's... spinach and bacons salad with some blue vein cheese. There is actually heaps of bacon in here but it's hiding underneath!

OK So here is a lunch from last week, will share today's packed lunch soon.

Up until I cut grains out of my diet I used to feel the same - hungry all the time - starving even. I now eat mainly vegetables, protein and fats and I feel so much more stable in terms of satisfaction after eating and hunger levels.
-
Wow that looks yum! I pack a lunch every day I would love to join in here - how do you post pictures?

I haven't actually tried these as I always have breakfast at home but I have seen many great ideas for on the go breakfasts. My faves are mini fritata in a muffin pan, and bacon and eggs in the muffin pan - you line the pan with bacon, add the egg and some herbs and have bacon and eggs to go.
-
Oh yea - thats the other thing - you have to rest the meat after cooking for 1/4 - 1/2 the time it was cooked for. This allows all of the juices to 'settle'

What higher end cuts do you buy? I am quite fussy with steak but you can't go past a good eye fillet. Tender every time. The other high end cuts don't do it for me. I like cutting through steak like it's butter!

I just wanted to pop back in and say I have ditched the scale - there is no longer a scale at home and I weighed while visiting someone last week and have completely lost the initial gain and another 2kgs (4.4lbs) from my start weight in just over a week :-) I really do feel better not worrying about the weight and just…

I cannot remember where I found this recipe now but it is AMAZING - these taste like rich dark chocolate... but really... Thanks! So far so good :-) we are lucky in nz all of our meat is grass fed so no worries there. I found my first shop very expensive but there were a lot of one off purchases. So far I am doing so well - I feel great :-) hope don't end up with that carb flu tomorrow!!

The only problem that eating can solve is hunger

Thanks for shariung that article. When it comes to weight loss I am a perfectionist. If I so much as have 1 'bad' - nee unhealthy food then I will just quit for the day or week. I am really working on this and the ideas in the article are fab!
-
This is something I definitly struggle with on a daily basis. I have really only identified the problem recently as well as I have been in denial so long. But I am so glad to talk about it now. I have ok days but no good days as every day there is always something. There are certain foods that I just can't keep in the…

I find this very hard too. I have exercise dvd's but the kids go all funny when I do therm (they are 1 & 2) and my 2 year old will tell me to stop it or want to be picked up. I am trying to start the habit of doing these early in the morning - but I haven't yet - work in progress. I do however take the kids to the park -…
