  • Gitnfit2 -- I know exactly what you re going through. I had a kidney transplant on Dec. 1,2013. I was on hemodialysis for almost 3 months then switched to peritoneal. It's all very challenging. If you don't mind I'll say a prayer for you both.
  • For me I've noticed I overeat with stress and when I'm overly anxious. This happens mostly at work. I don't want to take medication, but if I keep gaining weight I may have to reconsider. I also realized that I'm addicted to sugar. HELP!

  • I just started doing that, letting everyone get what they want first. If there still something left at the end of my shift, then maybe I'll have it. I work at a long term care facility, so families will be starting to bring in "goodies" for us for the holidays. It would be nice if we'd get a fruit basket instead of cookies.

  • Lemon Oreo cookies are the best! With that out of the way, you can't beat yourself up. We've all been there, and we'll probably be there again. You already said you knew it was an emotional binge. Plan now what you can do if the situation comes up again. That way you'll be ready. Good luck!

  • It would depend on what I was getting out of the class. Is the instructor motivating me, making it a great experience that makes me want to come back? Or is this person sitting on a bench most of time, drinking water and out of breath because they walked across the room?

  • This almost like the one I heard about - have no idea what its called - but you take a bite, chew it, then spit it out. I think the Air Diet is the strangest I've ever heard of, and today is the first day I've heard of it.

  • I checked my BMI and went with the highest possible healthy weight. When I reach that then I'll see if I want to maintain or lose more.
  • Everyday first thing in morning after using bathroom and naked. Not sure if it helps or hurts but I like to see it, gain or loss. And if I go to the doctor and have to be weighed I ignore the number. I only trust my method.

  • Been gone for awhile now ... but I'm back. Was almost at goal but it got away from me. Goal this week: 1. Eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal. 2. Drink water with every meal. 3. Walk 5,000 steps outside of work. Good luck all!
  • I hate when people try to compare a pound of muscle to a pound of fat. Hate to break it to you but a pound is a pound is a pound. Quit saying a pound of muscle weighs more than fat. A pound of feathers weighs as much as a pound of fat!!
  • Start weight: 164.0 lbs. This week: 161.2 lbs. This was not a true weight loss through effort though. I got a stomach virus and was not able to eat anything more then bananas, applesauce, toast, and ginger ale. Actually had to leave work because I was so sick. Hope none of you get it .... :sick:

  • Just turned 42 this past December. My plan was that when I turned 40 I'd lose 40lbs. That has since come and gone. Please feel free to add me.
