Hi there You sure are in the right place as great support on here. Just to mention to make sure you eat a realistic amount of calories as if you are going off what MFP says (1200?) it will be way too little and then yes, eventually fall off the wagon. Then you might find you can save some for the times you are hungrier. I…

Hi there. I go to Curves and use my own HRM. It is pretty well spot on for the machine measuring HR, I find. Curves Smart overestimates the calorie burn by heaps, in my view, so I ignore the measure they give.

Have to say the erratic opening hours for the one I attend is a bit of a gamebreaker for me. Work hours and travel distance mean that when I can make it, it is not open. I can understand business sustainability decisions and all but in the end if the customers are not catered for it leads to reduced business....etc.…

I'd like to know too as quite new to all of this. I have factored 3 gym sessions into my daily cals (TDEE-20%) and think I should eat back any further exercise calories as most of that is unplanned ie long walks which are quite full on at times. Have strapped on the HRM to figure the extra cals. I then put the…

Just launched into this approach over the last week. However, cals only increased from MFP 1200 to 1294 (due to shocking stats :embarassed: ) but will try for four weeks and see how it goes. Hoping I have the figures correct but think I have as checked several times - trying to extract more cals LOL. More exercise would do…

HI there, pretty much the same as you at 54 years with about 40 to lose. I have a wardrobe of gorgeous clothes that I want to get back into. And I am OVER the sore knees which I am sure is because of the extra weight. I am 5'5", currently 175 lb, and and been logging food and exercise on here for a good two weeks now. I am…
