*bump*...I think I'm gonna need this thread...

Although you can learn a little about agility on the web, I suggest that you sign up for a beginners agility class at a dog training club. Try searching for "agility dog training" for facilities near Columbus and Fayetteville. Most of the clubs have web sites with a list of classes. Contact the clubs, tell them you'd like…

LOL, you are NOT exaggerating about the chunky Labs at Westminster. I got in a rather heated discussion on a Lab board I belong to on that very topic. Breeders are winning with dogs that are looking farther and farther away from dogs who looks like they can work...I hate it. My labs are from more moderate show lines and I…

You can find level 1 of the 30-Day Shred for free on Youtube, so you can try it out: http://youtu.be/1Pc-NizMgg8

just want to say thanks for the insightful and motivating post!

I walk both my Labs almost every day - we walk if it's more than 20 F, or less than 80 F or so (the older lab doesn't tolerate heat/humidity). And yes, I log the walks. I use Runkeeper to track them. We usually stop at a field for a retrieving session midwalk. This winter has really sucked for walks though, as we've been…

Stupid Reese's Peanut Butter cups. They should be labeled as a controlled substance for me.

I am on week 3 of Ripped. It is challenging! I will do more than 7 days of Week 3 to try to master the exercises. There are a few moves I just cannot do (mostly related to a bad knee), so I just modify them a bit. I'll move on when I'm ready, but it won't be too long because I get bored if I do the same routine for more…

My labs enjoy their twice-daily walks, which usually include retrieving sessions. And I do agility training and trialing with the younger one (the 12-year-old is retired from agility). They really keep me active.

One of my favorites: "It's early Saturday morning, and I gotta go get the grocery shopping done before the masses of crazy people get there. I'll work out when I get home." Then when I get home: "I'm tired already and it's too late. And there's all this fun food I just bought." Twisted, eh? I caught myself using this…

Can't add much that hasn't already been said...but THANK YOU for the inspiration!

Thank you for the timely and amusing post! I have felt rather discouraged recently, but your progress in the Battle of the Bulge made me think that there is some hope. :flowerforyou:

You all look fantastic! I have 30DS, but haven't done it consistently enough, even though I saw results in the first level. Thanks for the extra motivation - it is just what I needed! :flowerforyou:

Bump...this sounds delish! I need a way to drink more water...I drink it, but I really don't much like plain water and I have to force it down.

I have a serious addiction to Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, ever since Halloween. You'd think perhaps I could try just NOT buying them, but I can't seem to stop doing that either. :grumble:

Best. NSV. Ever. As a "baseball mom" for many years, I also thank you for your dedication and love of the game. I know it can sometimes be a thankless job. You rock!!

+1...I was on the coolrunning board way back then and remember that. Don't buy it from them.

After a short hiatus due to tweaking my back (totally unrelated to exercising!), I'm back at it. I did Level 3 day 1 last week, but somehow found it less difficult than Level 2. Anyone else feel like that? Those plank-based exercises in Level 2 were really difficult for me, and I feel good about making progress on those.…

great post! I needed that after the Halloween candy binge!
