  • Does anyone have trouble with eating enough protein? How important is it? no matter what I ear as long add its under my calories it should allow me to lose, right?
  • Yeah th that would make sense, I really have to work on the high protein thing ai changed my macros today and so far i'm not doing so well.... Any advice on the exercise thing though? I think I'd rather just wait till I shed some pounds and then start weight training..
  • Oh good,I had a feeling something was amiss. That calorie goal sounds more realistic too me! So if I started exercising would I eat back the calories? in the case of cardio wouldn't that defeat the purpose if exercise, considering that my calories would still level out?
  • Instant oatmeal will save you, its filling and low in calories too. good for breakfast or anytime for that matter. if you by nuts for snacking I suggest you bag them out individually, its easy to get carried away with then. make a huge bowl of salad one day and divide it into separate containers. Or of you only have…
  • Yeah people that you see daily might not notice it. for example my family hasn't noticed (well I don't really know but nothing has been said), but people that I haven't seen in a while or people that I don't see so often took notice, telling me that i've gotten alt slimmer or asking how did it, etc. It might also have…
  • While personal situations can have an effect on your health, you shouldn't let dominate you. your family may not be the most encouraging, in fact its probably worse from them because they're clos to you. But understand this: no matter what you do in your life, you will be faced with opposition, or resistance, whether from…
  • Yeah I know what you mean, I haven't bought to much clothing since I started my journey in January. I know when I bought a new pair of slacks, they fit me fine for like a month, and then started to loosen up a bit, now they're too big, even with a belt. Luckily they were cheap, so I didn't worry to much. my suggestion is…
  • So today marks the day that I increased my calorie intake by 400 about a month ago, and though I expected to gain some weight back, I haven't gained one pound! In fact I actually lost 2 pounds since then! so today i'm bringing it back down (not a low as before though), so hopefully I continue to see progress!
  • Thanks everyone! I'm upping my calories this month to see how it goes! I'm also working hard on eating cleaner, thanks for all the tips!
  • Right now I don't have anything to do weight training with, I figuredi I'd try to look up some home resstance exercises..i'm still worried about the calorie increase I guess, i'm worried that I'll gain the weight right back
  • I think that's a good idea, putting my scale away for a bit might help because after hitting the plateaui've become a bit obsessive over weighing myself to see if something has worked or not, right now I think that's a good idea so i'm not always feeling lazy or something. I'll go for a month, let's see! Also about not…
  • Did you gain any weight while your calories were up? Or was the pounds lost from thepoint you plateaued? I think I'll keep on with the 1600 goal, I'll add some light exercise thus week as well. Hoping this works!I feel like i've been at a standstill forever!!!!
  • I wish I saw this earlier! I did try increasing my calories to 1600 this week butI haven't seen any real progress. Do you think it might have to do with the sudden increase? Perhaps I should take it down to 1400?
  • Did you continue to experience weightloss even after that? I dunno, i'ma but nervous about increasing calories butt I think thats what I need to do at this point, I still have about25 to go
  • Maybe Im not eating enough? Haha it seems so crazy to eat 1600 because I've been on 1200 for so long, but I think I'll give it a try. I have absolutely no problem eating more food:))), i'm just kings worried the weight will come back, should I continue to exercise? Its only 40 min of interval walking/running, I started…
  • if you can go on doing something without hunger sticking out, then you are fine i realizeed this, like times when i'm just sitting at home reading all i could eat like crazy and wouldnt take any notice, but weekdays when i'm busy studying or in school i could space out my meals (more like snacks, lol) and wouldn't have a…
  • i cant even talk to my friends about my goals, i just sorta keep to myself about it at school. i think its a case of "i wanted to do something so bad but i havent gotten anywhere but look shes done it lucky her i'm so miserable" syndrome. i felt this was sometimes, i was no where near vocal about it though. i would get a…
  • its because much of the food here is processed with high calories but low nutritional benfit. you could eat 5 apples, or one snickers bar. the obvious answer to someone whos hungry is the apples, but because the candy is cheaper, faster, tastier, and crave-inducing most people would choose it. but it doesnt stop there.…
  • it depends on the person. when i first got started with my weightloss i was loosing 1-3 pounds a week ( i was more overweight then). the good amount is 1-2 pounds a week for the average person. people lose at their own pace based on everyones individual metabolism, a person who weighs more will lose faster than someone who…
  • try bringing in more natural forms of sugar. Go out and buy a huge fruit platter at the grocery store (or you can chop up some yourself if you like) and snack on that. make sure it stuff you like!!! or you'll never want ot eat it. mkae smoothies!! i swear this helped me with my softdrink cravings, because smoothies are not…
  • i don't really have a huge restriction. i eat between 1200- 1500 calories (just depending on what i feel like). I try to log in 1200 a day, after i've reached that goal i just eat what ever healthy stuff i want (fruits, nut, etc) because usually it'll be low calorie any ways and not significantly effect my progress if i've…
