  • Wow this goes against everything I've been told. My NUT told me to eat my protein first then eat the other food if I'm still hungry. My protein goal is at least 60 grams per day. My surgery was on March 19, 2014. The NUT told me to continue drinking protein drinks because it helps me get my protein in for the day. Laurie
  • Karen, Thank you so much. So appreciate your comments! Thank you, Laurie
  • I was told not to use straws because you take in too much air. I am a gum chewer and enjoy a piece every now and then. Nothing bad has happened to me. I am one of the 2 bite people. I can barely eat enough before I get nauseous. It's a constant battle. Laurie
  • Thank you for starting this topic. I'm having such a hard time getting my protein in. Would love to know what powders work and taste good for everyone. Laurie
  • I had the sleeve on March 19, 2014. I recently had a bout with throwing up and feeling sick. My dr told me to space out taking medicine over time vs all at once. That has helped a lot. I've lost 60 pounds. I'm very excited about that! Laurie
  • Thank you so much for all the suggestions. I wish they made protein pops. I love pops! I'm going shopping tomorrow to search for new protein bars powder. I hit a milestone today, 60 pounds off. I lost a 4th grader. LOL Laurie
  • I can't tolerate spine now either. I really hopes it changes as time goes by. So sorry you are having problems. Laurie
  • Hi, I had the sleeve procedure on March 19, 2014. So far I've lost 57 pounds. I'm really happy I had the surgery done. Would love to meet you. Laurie
